PC Growbox,CFL'S...

So I am new here but after reading tons of info I decided to go ahead and start a grow,which I started about a month ago or so,
I started them in a rubermaid tote ect but quicky changed for somthing smaller...
And a PC tower seemed perfect

09/18/10...The seeds popped up out of the soil,





10/11/10...Saw the first little hairs 21 days after she came up,
A couple of pics of her growing little by little...
11/2/10...
These pics show the outside and inside of the pc,using 3-26watt 2700k cfl bulbs...I actauly like this little box alot,

11/4/2010...Here she is 2 days later,in my opinion she is ripening fast but it took a while for her to get this far,lol...
She actualy has trichs you can see building up around the tops of all the buds that recieve light ect,
She is also in re-used potting soil and hasent had nutes ever,thats why I cant wait for my big bloom to get here,lol...
After 5 days of 24/7 lighting...I switched to 11on and 13 off,
Anyways here are the pics from the 4th,defently looking better I think...







Anyways that what I got so far,this is kinda catching up to what u missed...
I will get more pics up soon,I am trying to get new pics up every 2 days...

hey nice grow, I was just wondering did you veg with 2700k? or did you use 6500k and have switched to 2700k for flowering? Also just wondering whats up with your light schedule 11 on 13 off? Little odd most common flower time is 12/12. Also wondering if it might shock the plant going from 24/7 to 11/13.

Yes I did use 2700k all the way...in the begining she was under 11,500 lumens and grew fast but I think ur right...
The light cycle is one I have used before,everyone told me that it may help flower faster then just 12/12...because of the extra darkness ect...
Idk but hey,she is healthy...still growing strong,I cant conplain...
This is the first grow in 10 years,lol...
Next grow will be way better,I cant wait
I bet in 20-30 more days she will look pretty nice and give me some nice nuggets...obviosuly I am not exspecting much,
This was mainly a re-fresher course,to learn from my mistakes...

For your future grows I would recommend running at least a 2:1 6500k to 2700k ratio if not all 6500k for veg. 6500k light is better for its veg cycle and 2700k for its flower cycle. Myself I run all 1 type through veg and switch for flower. Light schedule for veg cycle is anywhere from 20/4 to 18/6 and flower cycle 12/12. Its a learning experience every time, the plant looks good. Keep us updated I'd like to see what you get for a yield.

This first grow I kinda pulled out my ass,I dont have much money so what ever was cheao or laying around I used,lol...
I'v spent around 80-$100 in the last 2 months just on lights,totes,fixtures,ect ect...alot of the stuff Im ot even using right now so I am thinking about maybe starting up another grow maybe sooner,but ya...next grow I defently will use 12/12 and use the right bulb for veg/flower...

Yeah thats cool, I don't know where you live but Lowes where I live at has 4 x 26w 6500k for like 11-12 dollars and 6 x 26w 2700k for like 10-11 dollars, pretty good deals. The bottom link in my sig has better picture of my PC build if you want to take a look, might give you a few ideas for next time who knows .

11/9/10 update,
Here are some new pics of the girl,46 days flowering...ripening slowly,nutes still havent came yet,get the big bloom tomarrow...
Anyway,here the pics and new light setup in the pc...useing 2 42watt 2700k bulbs now,side by side...she likes it,

Ok so finaly my post office gets my package,cant believe it took so long but oh well,perfect timing cause she needs water today anyways,
So today she can get her first dose of big bloom,her first nute ever,lol...
I will update when somthing changes or when she looks better

11/9/10...update,
Well today I got the fox famrs big bloom and she needed watering so I gave her,her first dose of nutes ever!
We will see how it goes and I will update in a couple days if anything new changes ect...

11/11/2010...
So its almost 2 days after giving her,her first feeding with fox farm big bloom...and I could tell when I opened the pc that she was doing better...
She stunk a bit more,looked fuller...buds were a little longer,and al the trichs were standing up higher,look u could see them all over...
I will post some pics in a lil bit and show u guys how shes doing

11/12/2010...UPDATE!
Well just took some pics of here,check um out and let me know what you think...
She is 50 days flowering today,and 55 days old as I forced her at 5 days old or so,
Finaly have the fox farm big bloom so have already started feeding her with that and she loves it...
I read not to follow the instructions on the bottle because u could nute burn ect...but,
I used a little less then 1/2 cup to 1 gallon of water and she looks perfect even 3 days later!
Next time I will either use just water or just a little big bloom ect,on to the pics!

Alright well I think she is looking better,yes she is small and wont produce much but,Im still happy as I am just learning,

I've heard this happens sometimes when it gets into the 60F's lights off.. Only thing I can think of, and I don't think its bad if the plants still growing well..

Ya I have also read about plants turning shades of purple ect due to the temps at night,getting to cold...
This plant has been no colder then 70F and is usealy at 86F...Out of the 10 seeds I planted last time,4 of them came out with purple stems,
And this is the only one that dident lose the purple stems ect...I think it makes her more pretty cuz I love purple

This is some bud I picked up tonight,thinks its afghani or northen lights or a mix of them...taste amazing,smells like berrys and desiel and skunk...
The buzz seems to last for ever,I bet 3 hours...was stoned after 2 hits but after smoking a blunt me and 4 people quit smoking,which never happens,lol...
It's covered in trichs and resin,sticky outdoor from what it looks like...it was $45 an 1/8th and worth every penny
