PC or MAC ???

Macs are much, much, much safer to use, FACT(I work for a anti-malware company), the experience using a mac is so much more user friendly, much cleaner interface, all this cant play games bollox, I have OSX and Windows, my mac plays anything that runs on the windows platform.

Cost is not an issue, look at a total cost of ownership and you will find a Mac is a better long term purchase.

The thing that really takes the cake is the look of my Mac, people who see it are amazed at the size of the screen, the crisp display and not having any 'box', the overall experience is just so much more cleaner and professional.

but if you buy pc (cheaper) and install free programs (cheaper) you still come out the victor.

Long time avid PC user and activist. i hated macs about 5 years ago until recently. My reason being reliability... in the past 10 years ive been through 3 towers and 2 laptops. given that i never experienced prob with my HP tower till i started letting my roommates use it in college which really only cause it to slow drastically and evetually a power supply issue after 3 years of use, My hp laptop on the otherhand had a highly common issue that showed up for me like everyone else just a lil over a year after purchase where the screen doesnt work due to a motherboard problem after 1-2 years which HP pretty much told me to fuck off same with my tower. Acer netbook (for mom) didnt last a whole year thanks to the blue screen of death. tell fought till its last breath even after BSOD a few time until it just went in to booting and froze every time. Now im in about to buy a mac after alot of saving but due to evey one i know to have a mac has mosty had theres longer that my last 3 PC's some Mac friends have had theres since 2000 which mean that since i was in 9th grade theyve been running strong, I and several of my friends are avid users of Adobe creative suite which is my main reason for this also my hp tower was 2400 same as my future macbook pro. Fuck PC Games, yes xbox raped me but ill stick with them for now. how? first the red ring of death sent it out to them and they "Fixed it" but al my dowloaded content would dissapear after turning of my console and arcade games wouldnt play in full unless i was connected to xbox live. next disc wouldnt spin, and micrsoft said fuck off, So i resulted to immoral actions e.g.: Boned a friend of a friends girl friend and talked her into giving me his 360 that she bought since she was breakit off anyway that one would give unreadable disc evey once in a while but when ur playin MW2 shit gets hectic. there fore i had a chick i use to bang working at game stop so tried to get her to scoop me one. but kno was the answer so i went up the ladder and banged her manager now i got a great working system and she even threw in HDMI and now i want the slim with kinect and all the bells and whistles yea so ive pretty much sold my soul to Microsoft by now so a mac is more than a higher functioning computer but salvation for the soulless Nerd.

Macs are extremely over priced. And by extremely....I mean almost always 1000-2000 more then the actual cost of the hardware. Software? What can a Mac do that my PC can't? Macs are about aesthetics. Which is why I dont like them. Look at my ferrari with a prius engine. I don't think I have seen a real "redesigned" Mac since they went unibody.

People love Macs because everyone knows they cost to much. You have one and your the upper echelons of your local college Starbucks. Don't forget they run on magic. No "serious" computer person runs a Mac. They all run Linux on pc hardware.

lol well atleast your honest about it. i will say thats the best mac back up so far.but i use torrents(you know the computer programs the macs barely have any of) for all the porn i can handle.

just have to know how to use a pc.the dude pic before between the tricycle and motorcycle is a PERFECT example.

No it is not about which is better. As you said you are looking for ammo to blow up some mac users reasoning. It is an opinion, and as proven on Craigslist Rants & Raves you can NOT change someones mind over the internet.

OMG you guys dont have to be soo worried in NO WAY am i trying to change your mind.look in my first post i say "heated debate" because my boss at work argues the most stupid stuff and thought you mac users would have something better to say but NOPE same exact stuff i predicted wen i started this. "its easier" and "no viruses".no one has said any different except get all mad wen i ask why its better.

If it's just software related, folk who've sunk huge premiums into inferior hardware must feel like pretty big chumps.

mac is opverpriced form over underwhelming function.
i refuse even to run quicktime or itunes on my computer.

Reasons to choose PC over Mac every time include- cheaper pricing, more hardware options, more software options, better for gaming, just as virus free as any Mac, no one will flame you for having a gay apple product, and anything you can do on a Mac you can do on a PC just as good if not better.

I only saw a few Linux fans in this thread and that is your biggest argument against any Apple fanatic, just rub Ubuntu and gaming in their face until they cry. My brother works for Apple and can get me anything from them for cheap as hell and I still refuse because a PC will still be faster cheaper and outlast any Mac if you know what your doing and avoid using Windows for anything but playing games.

That being said PCs will always be superior to Macs as long as open source is out there.

i didn't even know the hardware was different.
