Peppermint & Cinnamon

I remembered Lacy bringing up something on flavoring during curing. Well, I noticed I had some Peppermint oil laying around and a full jar of cinnamon sticks....so Lacy its time to find out exactly what this will be like since I've got some hung to dry right now.

It only takes one or two drops on a cotton ball taped to the lid of the jar for the entire jar to smell of peppermint....even hours after the lid has been off. I think I may be entering a tasty domain.

And I'll drop cinnamon sticks in the other jar when I start curing.

Alright, on the peppermint jars...I know that people use peppermint oil and other menthol containing oils to get rid of fungus such as toe nail fungus and athletes foot, could this idea help prevent against fungi? Just a thought...anybody with answers or thoughts reply.

I agree natural taste is by far the best taste you can get, but the idea came to mind and with the holidays close by wouldnt it be nice to take a puff of peppermint and such, menthol clears the lungs, be good for a cough possibly.

Dosen't seem like burning those flavors will do anything but taste bad.
Cinnamon I could see tasting bad, but peppermint? Thousands of people enjoy menthol cigarettes over full flavors because menthol (what gives the mint family its classic cooling feel) I smoked a bit of bud I sealed in a smaller job with some peppermint oil and while it still tasted weedy it had a cool smoke that left your mouth tingling and your throat cooled with no cough
