Perpetual Grow. When do you start planting seeds while you are flowering?

Area A for Vegging
Area B for Flowering
2 plants in dwc in a 2x4 tent and maybe some clones if i have space. strains vary per grow.

When do you start planting new seeds or clones or both for your vegging area A while your other plants are flowering in flowering area B?

i've been experimenting for the perfect time to plant seeds in area A while plants in area B finish flowering and drying. i do 2 plants in dwc, manifold training, then put them in my flower area. for my current grow, i planted new seeds in my veg tent around week 3 of flower for my flowering plant in tent B. I've had a mistakes where i germinate and veg too early and my vegging plant gets too big while my other plants aren't done flowering and drying, a problem with a seed not germinating so i had to waste another 1-2 weeks of re planting new seeds, and a mistake of planting seeds too late so i have to keep vegging for another 2-4 weeks. i hate having dead time. how do you time your perpetual grow?

It depends on the plant and phenos
I plant seeds all the time and just keep them in beer cups in a less lit area till I need to bulk them up
I have my fastest strain clone only and I start firing up and repotting at 6 weeks in flower

You can't really do it with DWC, but if I'm flowering an array of strains and I don't want my next crop to get too leggy while the slower strains finish up, I wait longer to start them and increase the plant count to compensate.

My second perpetual grow using a dwc bucket i ordered. My first perpetual grow was 2 plants in a dwc in tupperware from my kitchen because i was unsure if i have enough space to invest in a bucket system. then i decided to get dwc buckets for my second grow because i had a good outcome from my first hydroponic grow and have an idea of what space i need for two plants. my second dwc grow my vegging plants got too big for the area, one ended up getting root rot because i was getting lazy with keeping the reservoir full. Epic Fail.

im probably going to end up moving my vegging zone to somewhere different with more space. im so lazy when it comes to moving furniture around.

Looking at those arms maybe you should start moving some furniture around every day lmao.

If you can, take pictures under white lighting for us. The Blurple is too hard to look at.
my flowering plants in my tent are using my led lights with white lights. this topic isn't about if there are any nutrient deficiencies for my vegging plants. this topic is about how people time their perpetual grows.

Sorry about that sir. Are you going to have a mother plant ? And have you done much cloning before ?

No mother plant. I have a variety of seeds, and just growing whatever i feel like trying next. My clones come from when i manifold train my plants. clones are either grown dwc in tupperware or grown in coco coir solo cups.

I ran perpetual for a few cycles. Pain in the ass if you're running new and different strains all the time. Now I just stagger my harvests on 3 tents. If you ever do have a problem this helps keep it from spreading.

Its a pain in the ass because:
- its high maintenance to take care of multiple plants in different stages. flowering plants, seedlings, and clones.
- what to do with clones if you already have your next grow started or planned.
- plants grow really fast hydroponically and you'll have to plan space.

last time i had clones, i put them in the flowering tent when there were already plants in early flower. they died because there was not enough light for the small plant competing against the larger ones. i also put some clones in coco coir and grew it outside and by a window sill. it died because i didn't pay too much attention to it. clones were just used for experiments.

This was my first perpetual grow attempt from a clone grown hydroponically in tupperware. also my first time growing hydroponically. this was the best timing grow i had so far with my perpetual grows. one grow in late flower and one grow in first week of flower.

the veg plant transferred from the veg zone to the flower zone is the bottom left plant
