Perpetual harvest; I can't seem to work it out! Help??

Ok, so I'm really intrigued by doing a perpetual harvest & as I understand it, for example.. I'd have say.... 3 mother plants in a veg room along with 10 fresh cut clones along with 10 rooted clones in pots for veg. and then in the flowering room id have 10 plants in bud and every month id add the vegging plants in. move the clones to pots, take more clones, crop the first flowering...etc

what i dont get is... what happens when you use up all available cuttings from your mother plants???? do you take clones from your clones, im afraid of the "genetic degradation." so if i exhausted my mother plants, I'd have to start new ones from seed and those would have to go for 2 months before I could take clones and that would throw off the whole system.

can anyone solve this for me?

Nevermind I put my brain to work and figured it out, start off with 2 mother plants, take 18 clones, save 12 of the healthiest, when they're rooted put them into cups/pots.. for 1 month, 2 weeks into that 1 month take another 18 clones off of the mothers, when that month is up put 10 of the plants in cups into bud save the other 2 for future mother plants the clones should be rooted put them into cups, then repeat the 2 weeks in, take clones, 1 month flower.

I'll end up with 20 plants in bud at any given time, 10 of them ahead of the other 10. as well as 10 rooted and vegging plants along with 10-18 clones rooting as well as 4 mother plants 2 bigger than the others. It all makes sense now :) I'll shall get working

I do one or similar.. I get like 2 to 3 plants every 2 to 3 weeks... Different factors vary on time for veg and flower so some times they run little less little more. I have them all running togethter and add plants into flower a few weeks after the last two. This is the main reason I went from my Stinkbud to bubble buckets.. the flexibility to run different strains at different intervals. Works good and its nice to have new bud ever few weeks.

Get good genetics and less likely you wont have to worry about any degradation for many many generations.

You can make a clone your new mom. Some people do it every cycle, id let the moms live for more then a few cycles.

You also prob should never run out of cutting on a one month cycle. Moms would veg a ton in a month for plenty of clones

If, as you stated in your first post, take 10 clones a month from 3 mothers, then why are you worried about using up all the cuttings from your mothers? That's not even 4 clippings per mother a month. In a month that mother will easily replace those 4 cuttings with new growth. I don't see you having an issue with running out of cuttings.

An eight shelf vertical grow stadium with clone to flower you can set it up how you like eight plants per shelf or four its your choice week one add your first set then a set every week after that on an eight week strain that's a harvest a week be sure to stay with one strain . All you are doing is a up and down plant rotation if you must have a Veg time it with your first in . Depending on you lights and space this is a super efficent system

what i dont get is... what happens when you use up all available cuttings from your mother plants???? do you take clones from your clones, im afraid of the "genetic degradation."
part 1-Cut more clones.
part 2. You have no reason to worry about that. Many perpetual growers do not use mother plants they keep. Just start generation 1. When it is mature and ready for flowering simply cut the 4 of the lower branches off of each plant and leave those in the veg room to root and veg. by the time the first generation is done with flowering generation 2 will be ready to take 4 clones off of each and go into the flower area. then just repeat that cycle, although unless you need/want hundreds of plants you can go down to a 1 or 2 per plant when put into flowering. if you took 4 off of each and continued that it would only take you 11 generations to get to a million+ plants. lol

I'm trying to avoid taking clones from clones of clones of clones of clones.... Thats why I would need mother plants. Thanks for the info though I really appreciate it. I think I've got it pretty much all figured out now :)
