Peyote advice

L. Caespetosa. Anyone find this strain to be active? Im bout to experiment

Well that was pleasant. I made a cocktail of l. Williamsii and l. Caes. It was 200g wet total split between three of us with some cannabis oil capsules and a few bowls.

So, the tea was brewed for three hours on medium high heat and I refilled the water as it evaporated. I used a bit of apple cider vinegar to lower the ph during brew.

I made a fresh ginger root tea separately to mix in the peyote tea after the three hours. This was really helpful as I didn't feel nauseated in the slightest.
The trip was light and not overwhelming. The dosage would be considered light. It seemed to cradle me and the others into a pleasant lucid state. Actually falling asleep was somewhat difficult but pretty beautiful and imaginative. This was my first peyote experience, next time ill increase the length of brewing and mass of flesh used.

Sorry Im not answering my own question of the l. Caes. Being active in psychotropic alkaloids or not as I used various strains of peyote from my garden. They were suatainably harvested so I will use them again next year or something. I would like to get more varieties to grow though.

I'm not an expert, but if u eat raw peyote buttons be prepared for the infamous peyote puke

i had a some what, ok, very, disappointing experience with peyote years ago.
this was back in the early to mid 90s, before the internet was really a thing, so i went into the whole thing pretty blind to say the least..
i scored four buttons off of a guy i worked with.. i had zero experience with peyote, and was pretty shocked that i was actually able to source four buttons.. me and 2 friends split them, me eating i think the two and the two friends having one per.. i had no clue as to how to prepare them, so we just ate them as is.. it was pretty much like trying to choke down a cactus, as you'd probably imagine.. we all got the giggles every time we'd try and choke down another bite and one of use would start to make puking sounds aloud trying to make one another puke as we tried to eat these things.. other than that, we pretty much felt nada, zero, zilch, as a result of eating these catci..
upon learning of the internet years later, and this site in particular, i found out i simply didn't consume enough of the active ingredients to get off.. such a bummer as i'm not sure if i'll ever source buttons again..

actually i remember now, i ate one one night, and we all only had one per the next time we tried to use them.. not my eating two at once.

Use San Pedro. I suspect it's more chill, still very visual.

Yea I get the drift the others were a bit disappointed. They've shared that they didn't feel anything really more than a threshold high.

I don't like consuming psychedelics that induce vomiting. Blerghhh. I may revise an alkaloid tek from the dmtnexus.

I'm reading sand Pedro is MORE intense than peyote. That the other alkaloids in peyote not found in torch cacti are calming and sedative where as in torch there is a more extreme feeling of being fucked ass up lol

@Olive Drab Green the torch cacti, did you start from cutting? I have a bunch of year old seedlings. Im just now practicing grafting onto pencil plant via skewer method.

I started from two previously sliced cacti the size of my forearm. I want to learn grafting. Never vomited, and it doesn't feel like being fucked up the ass. Mescaline, in general, is more gentle, more visual, less head fuck-y. More of a sacrament than a drug. It's probably my favorite in terms of psychedelics/entheogens.

Theyre pupping so they may be l. caes. It's hard to tell with ebay because they post a half dozen fake names for them so they don't get flagged. But there are a few reaaaaally mature grafts. I think I saw one that was 7 years old and some that were 10+ years.
