PH and EC meter calibration solutions (testers)

Hey, I just received the pH meter and EC Meter I ordered but they didn't include any calibration solution and they don't automatically calibrate themselves. My question is does anyone know the pH of common items I can use to calibrate with?

Thanks.

Yes I am aware of the solutions that can be purchased I was just looking for another way to calibrate them. The only way for me to get the solution is on eBay and I dont want to wait for them to come to use the meter. Thanks though.

Ph calibration substitution is easy enough, but the TDS is another kettle of fish entirely. Ph is a quality while ppm is a quantity. You would need to find a liquid that is of a known salinity level to pretty exacting levels.

Maybe some contact storage solution? Have someone measure the ppms of a known brand and then you could go and buy that exact same brand and use that to calibrate your meter?

Best I can think of.
