PH & Distilled Water

I've read a lot here about keeping water ph in the 6.2-6.8 range. Should I lower the ph of my distilled water, or is 7.0 good enough as long as I check the runoff?

Would appreciate any insight.

Heck billy, it takes less time to ph the water then it does to post this question. Why wouldn't you just do it, in case what you read is right? VV

even in soil i try to stay 6.5. as you learn more you can lock up nutes very easily. you need to get a ph guide to see where and at what ph things become soluable. you can make slight adjustments to ph if you desire to lock up nutes. when flushing i use 4.0 in the final 2 weeks this helps starve the plants even if you didnt get totally flushed out.

I'd be careful using distilled water dude. Most of the time pH electrodes will not give accurate pH values for distilled water. This is because distilled water does not have enough ions present for the electrode to function properly. The readings will drift and be essentially meaningless.
