pH of chicken poop??

anyone know the pH of chicken poop? I have a LOT of chicken shit... (friend owns 6 chicken houses) also, all the chickens that die go into a giant composting bin.

What is the pH of chicken poop?
whats the best way to change the pH of a grow medium?

The PH of the Poop would depend on the Feed.

So the best way is to test it !

Ohh, and I was watching Dirty Jobs the other day. It was the Brown before Green Episode number 2 . Anyway he was taking road kill like deer and bringing them to a Compost factory

You can't use straight up chicken poop. It's too high in nitrogen and will burn your plants. It needs to sit for some time, how long I don't know. Also if they have dead chickens rotting into the poop I wouldn't use it at all, So much bacteria will be living in the poop from the dead chickens and will most likely kill your plants.

wasn't planning on using straight chicken poop. i'd mix it with a nutrient-less grow medium.

I'm going to try pigeon poop for growing I will let all know how it goes
