Well, I went down to the hydro shop today to buy a digital PH meter. When I got home I decided to use it on some distilled water. The damn thing is way wrong. It said the PH of the distilled water was 13.45!!! I know this is way off because I also have a cheaper PH meter used for pools.
I read the directions for the digital PH meter and they said I need to calibrate it before using... But to calibrate the digital PH meter I need water that is a perfect neutral solution.
Well, my question is how do I get perfectly neutral water if I dont have a digital meter? I read on these forums that distilled water is not always neutral. Is distilled water close enough to neutral to use to calibrate?
