Hello all;
From what I am reading on this soil, I will not have to add nutes until 3-4 weeks into veg'n or I could just wait until I start budding them. Opinions? I will be using tap water and Fox farm's tiger bloom. Its my first grow and I want to keep it simple, and I assume just using this will be good? The plan is to start clones in party cups under the florescent fixture, and then put them in 5 gallon buckets and put them under the 600w MH. From there I will just move the buckets to the 600w HPS room when ready. I will start feeding them nutes then and will stop two weeks before I cut them down.

I may mix the soil with those clay pellets I seen at the store. I forget the name of them. Opinions?

For watering/feeding the plan is to use one gallon jugs using the manufacturers suggestion. Ill measure the PH in that gallon, and the PH of the runoff to figure out if I need to use any PH up/dwn.

I do not want to cheap out on a tester, but what would you suggest when using this medium?

I do not plan on stopping any time soon, so considering what I have read on these forums I may pick up a HANNA HI 98130. I can test the water/runoff with this I assume correct?

I know zero in regards to measuring PPM's. I do not fully understand what it is measuring. How does the meter know what to measure(Yes I feel dumb asking this)? I thought I would just read the bottle and go off of the directions from there. It will probably make more sense once I actually read the bottle's I assume. For example if you go off the manufacturers suggestion for one gallon, what would your PPM be?

Thanks for reading.
