Photoperiod fkup?

hey, i have had my plants on at seedlings under a floro for 24/0..then soon after changed to my 400 hps for 18/6.....shortly after i changed to 16/8. is 16/8 too much darkness for veg?....i am flowering in 2 weeks under 12/12, just wondering if i have been fking them up anyway. thankx

I wouldn't go any less than 18-6. Some folks swear by 24 hr straight but I'm in the group that believes the roots and plant needs the 6 hours of darkness to build it's foundation.

plants respire at night, and ive had better results with 18/6 than 24 hrs. plants will stay in veg with anything voer 14 hours of light per day, but 18 hours represents the summer solstice - the day with the most light hours in the entire year. so its like every day is your plant's favorite day of the year! haha

never had problems with 24/7 light in veg, fast growth, big plants and no root problems but i wouldnt go less that 12/12 for flowering

I would say no , but switch back to 12/12

i never had 12/12...i had 18/6 changes to 16/8....i will 12/12 soon

sorry dude misread your post, i gradually switch to 12/12 as well
