Pick n mix seeds? Germination????

Hi there, so far, I've ordered from pick n mix twice, and attitude once.

The first time from pick n mix, I ordered 4, put them outside in pots of soil, kept them damp, after 3 weeks, still no signs of life. However, this may have been because there might have been cold temperatures outside/eaten by birds, so I guess they can't be blamed for that.

About 6 months to a year later, I ordered again. This time, I ordered 11 I think. After last time, I decided to germinate them indoors this time, in paper towels, inside 2 plates. 2 weeks later: nothing. I ordered some seeds from attitude, and they all germinated. Was I just unlucky/had bad germination technique, or do many people experience this?

Thanks!
Joe

ive had no problems poppin seeds but ive only ordered from attitude twice but 99% germ rate

when you germ'd inside were the seeds in complete darkness? and not to cold shouldnt take longer than 3 days really for good seeds

yeah, my ones from attitude all germed fine, it was the ones from pick n mix seeds that refused to germ.

and yeah, complete darkness, fairly warm.

yeah i rarely get an unsprout-able bean from the tude. they do germ 99% of the time

if the bean doesnt crack between your fingers when you apply pressure, it is viable.

if the paper towel method didnt work for you, theres the cup method.
try first to put it in a warm cup of water, poke it down and see if it stays down. if it stays down, you can plant it.
if it still floats, you can leave it in the warm cup of water as well, someplace dark.
