When selecting my spots the first thing I look for is light. Everything else can be brought to that that spot water, good soil ect. light can not. Secondly I look how much cover is around I personally love thorn bushes no one wants to walk through thorn bushes. I put my plant/plants depending on the size of the patch scatered in the center of these thorn bushes. Spots that have been logged 10 to 15 years ago are perfect for this. I would not recommend putting in grassy feilds or on the edge of wood lines and swaps usally get run off from the hills and hold to much moister in soil. Third I look for a good water source around this is more of a perk than it is a necassity cause its gonna rain but if it does'nt you'll have to haul water in I personally like 5 gln camp shower bags they fit into a back pack also. I never plant directly into the soil alot of people do most soil never really has everything you need. Next I'll drop something shinny a silver zippo, pocket knife something shinny on ground if its still there next spring you got a grow spot. I don't prepare till spring alot of wasted work if your silver trinket is gone in spring. Oh, yeah and google earth is your friend.

Schizm240 I have to agree with banknchips, light is VERY important. I also like logged in last 10-15yrs in the thorn bushes. If you cant dig, grow bags work good. You can still move em too if vegetation around your girls dies out and turns brown while they are green. Only thing with grow bags though is you have to visit more often if theres no rain. The sun can dry the soil out quick.

Yeah I usally dig a decent size hole in ground 2'x2' and drop in a mix of foxfarms ocean forest and scotts all purpose potting soil with perlite layer on the bottom for good drainage.

Quick question, if you have a hybrid plant that takes 60 days to flower and due to temps won't get achieve, is there still the possibility for a harvest and would it be worth smoking?

Justcallmedude,

60 days is not crazy long for flowering, so unless you have a helluva short growing season, I'd guess it would be worth it.

Guerilla growing is hard work but well worth it in the end. Find a couple spots and then decide which spots are the best for what you want.

60 days is perfect for climates that freeze in October.
