Working on a better/more powerful lighting system but shouldn't need it for a few weeks,

just barley under the min lumes/sf atm

and I have a 400 watt hps for flowering (if I can get my couzin to drop the price)
humidity is a kinda high its around 60
Anythoughts?

Added a pic of a sprout at day 3... ( prolly a really stupid question but is she stetching already?)

looking like a pretty good setup

how are you going to keep light from entering the closet during flowering dark period?

the humidity should be fine - lower it if you can near the end of flowering but not a big deal.

too soon to say if the sprout is stretching

in pic #2 what is the pop can for.
in pic #6 what is the green plastic on the light
#8 what is that plastic bottle do
and # 10 like the other comment, you need to seal that door opening.

another thing i notice is that your bulbs look redish. what is the kelvin. i thiink you have the higher k ones, and those are for flowering not veg

streatch refers to the spacing between the nodes, you dont have them yet. the lights shoud be about 2 to 3 inches away from the plants

I do have a large blanket that hangs over the whole frame so there is no light getting in.

#2 the pop cans are home made reflectors, to focus the light down (got the idea on here somewhere)

#6 is also a pop can

#8 is a computer fan, I cut the bottom out of the bottle, put the fan on it and have it positioned so its blowing on the lights.

I've changed alot around since those pics were taken I'll add some updated pics,

thanks for the advise
this is the first time i've started from a seed and indoor, so not sure what i should be looking for in a healthy sprout.

Those look like weak cfl's. They may need to be closer than an inch to the leaves. Please first tell us what wattage (real wattage) those are.

Reflectors on cfl's do nothing but concentrate the heat. You should take them off.

x2 23 watt, x4 13watt, x1 11 watt, x1 13 watt blue UV(i think) x1 15 watt fluoro.

The reason I put the reflectors on was becuase it was suggested to keep the light going down, Another guy did the same with CFL with good results.

I know I have to do alot of upgrading to the lights, trying to get a 400 watt hps from my couzin if I can get the cash.

2 of them are warm, 2700k

the rest are 6400k

replaced the 13 watt warm lights in those pics with 23 watt cool white/daylight bulbs

myself i would only use a couple of ther bulbs and get them about 2 inches away.
they will streatch if your to far away. it`s hard to tell from pic, but it looks like they might be about 8 to 12 inches away there. those metal trays will also hold the heat in.

they're 3.8'' away

I have a whole new set up now anyway, had to move in 3 purple kush plants that were being abused.

built a little room with a 22&15 watt flouro tube, as well as 11 watt daylight CFL or 23 watt cool white (Still can't decide what light to use for now). Going to add a couple more when some money comes in.

I'm not going to be using this thread anymore I have a thread in Grow room design and setup.
