what should i do about the male pre-flowers?
can a plant turn hermie before it even starts flowering? i thought it had to flower before producing female buds or male pollen sacks?

LUDACRIS has been around here for a while and is very knowledgeable. Looks female to me, even the last picture, but it does look possible that sacs could develop. I'd follow his suggestion and keep a close eye on them. Since you've only got one, monitor it real close. If the hermaphroditic areas are isolated, you may be able to control them by careful observation and some sac clipping. Once you go 12/12, if she's got nuts, she'll stick em out and let you know. If that's the case, time to start castrating.

IF YOU ARE SURE ITS MALE WITH POLLEN SACKS(DONT TOUCH THEM) IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PLANTS NEARBY THAT ARE FEMS OR OF UNKNOWN SEX YET REMOVE THE MALE STRAIGHT AWAY BEFORE THE POLLEN SACKS OPEN AND POLLINATE ANY OF YOUR OTHER PLANTS.YOU WILL HAVE A 4-5 DAY SAFE WINDOW AFTER SPOTTING SACKS TO DECIDE IF IS DEFINATELLY MALE BEFORE CUTTING YOUR LOSSES.(POLLEN DUST CAN TRAVEL HUGE DISTANCES).
THE BEST WAY TO RID YOUR MALE AND ANY POLLEN THREAT IS TO MAKE SURE NO POLLEN SACKS BURST BEFORE YOU GET RID OF THE PLANT AND CHOP THE PLANT ON THE STEM IN AS BIG PIECES AS YOU CAN FIT DOWN THE TOILET AND FLUSH THE WHOLE LOT DOWN THE TOILET(AS EVEN CHOPPING AND BUCKETING IT IN YOUR HOME OR GROW AREA CAN CAUSE POLLINATION).
I JUST HAD A NIGHTMARE GROW I THREW DOWN 6 SEEDS 3 TURNED OUT MALE(FLUSHED) AND JUST YESTERDAY I PULLED 2 HERMIES AND CHOPPED THEM SO NOW I AM DOWN TO 1 PLANT WAITING TO SEE IF ITS GOING HERMIE BUT SO FAR SO GOOD BUT I HAVE LOTS OF FRESH NEW SEEDS READY TO START AGAIN AND AM PISSED OFF WITH THIS OUTCOME AND JUST WANT MY LAST PLANT TO SHOW ME THE SLIGHTEST CHANCE OF BEING HERMIE AND ITS BINNED AND I CAN GET ON WITH A FRESH START.
(2 MONTHS WASTED
).

ANYWAY ENOUGH OF MY TEARS AND BAD LUCK THIS TIME.IF YOU NEED ANY ADVICE OR HELP WITH YOUR GROW JUST SEND ME PERSONALL MESSAGES AND I WILL HELP WHERE I CAN AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO ADD ME TO YOUR FRIENDS/CONTACTS LIST AND JOIN MY OTHER 20 FRIENDS ITS ALL GOOD.
GOOD LUCK.

been vegging for almost 2 months now. Started under 100w cfl equivalents for a month, then moved to a 400w hps for a few weeks, and recently switched out to a 400w mh conversion the past few days.

this last one i suspect of having male pre-flowers.

if there are confirmed male pre-flowers, what should i do with them? This is currently my only plant, it came from a feminized northern light seed(nirvana). I want to flower this plant so bad

any ideas/comments?

have a look at the resemblance(pollen sacks).

to ludacris,

there is NO way to tell if that last picture is a male, in your picture there's clearly a male flower, but not in the 4th picture, this preflower is undevelloped like i said before on the previous page.

I'm no expert for sure, but I would call this one Fem. I don't see any male attributes. Always a good idea to keep an eye on em. I've noticed occasional branch specific (especially lower branches) male attributes on female plants, though I would not say the plant was a hermie. I had a ball during preflower on one plant (below the 4th node), but since it had female pre-flowers all above that, I pinched the ball and decided to watch what was up, it never developed any more male flowers, and gave up some nice sticky sensimilla....

As I said, all the pics, even the suspected male preflower pic, look like female preflowers to me. They are elongated, attached at the base (not on a little stem), and with the evident pistils in the one pic, I think it's safe to say it's most likely a girl.

Reality is, you'll know for sure soon enough! Hope this helps

ITS FUNNY HOW THE ORIGINAL POSTER HAS DOUBTS ABOUT THE LAST PIC AND QUOTES HIMSELF THAT HE THINKS ITS A MALE IN THE PIC.
WHO SAID THE PICS WERE OF THE SAME PLANT ????????.
AND IF IT WAS A FEM I AM SURE THE ORIGINAL POSTER WOULD BE HERE TELLING ME THAT I AM WRONG BUT I THINK NOT AS HE WILL NOW KNOW THE TRUTH.

It is a female in the first pic.
what makes you think the first pic is a fem ??????.
you dont have a clue mate so stop giving out bad advice unless you can back it up but i dont expect a newbie like you would know the difference between an apple tree and a cannabis plant :dunce::dunce:
AS I SAID.
pic 1 cant tell but looking good for flowering.
pic 2 definatelly has pistils but are they emerging from the male looking pod in front of them as it looks like a pollen sack?????????.if the pistils are growing/coming out from that pollen sack or catlyx then its a female but the pic is decieving as that looks like a pollen sack but there is defiatelly pistils in the picture as well.
pic 3 cant see anything(unclear).
pic 4 100% male.

if they are male you have to pluck them off if you have to keep it.
my first grow was from mexcompressedbrick seed stock and 6 germed 4 males and 3 girls. all 3 showed hermie balls about evry 2 weeks.i monitored my shehees daily to remove any balls that may pop up. i ended up with sinsemilla and so can you.

OUT!
