Hey Rollitup.
It's my first post on here.
Today I just started germinating my Barney's Farm Pineapple Express Auto Feminized. Quick breakdown of my setup.

Lighting:
90w UFO Full Spectrum LED (Ordering a 240w full spectrum BlackStar next week.)

Space:
5'x2'x2' Cedar cabinet with inside painted white.

Soil:
Fox Farms Ocean Forest with ZHO mycorrchizae root inoculant.

Nutes:
First week, just H20 with 1/4 tsp per gallon of ZHO root inoculant mixed in.
from then on, Fox Farms Nutrient Tri-Pack

Here's a quick shot of the cabinet:

Soaked my seed in water overnight and now I have it in damp paper towels in a ziploc bag. So excited for when she pops open and I can start tending to my new baby. :leaf::lol::leaf:

Will keep you guys posted. Tell me what you think.

I've grown the auto several times before, growing the photo-period one now.

She likes grow nutes for the first few weeks of flowering. Expect her to start showing preflowers in 3weeks after sprouting and they finish in around 70days total (I start counting when it pops above soil)

Don't top her either, will make a big difference.

Thanks. I am going to order a new 240w Blackstar next weekend and am hoping it will come in well before the 3 week mark. 90w will be enough until then?

you might lose 5%? at this point it'll make little (if any) difference in final yield I'd guess.

You'll like the strain alot, people talk bad about it b/c of the name... But the shit grows FAST FAST, has AMAZING bag appeal and smokes berry good.

You can chop her at ~55-60 days, you'll think it's ready -- but the shit at 70 days is noticeably better when cured.

Okay kids! It's game time! Checked my seed today and the taproot has sprouted. Just planted it now after watering and draining the soil. Just dropped the light to about 6" above the soil. Can't wait for the lil' girl to poke out and start growing. Do I start counting days from the day my seedling pops above soil or from today?

That was the main appeal of them for me, but after some research, I realized that strains like Paradise Seeds' Wappa or CH9's Humboldt will also grow well in restricted space. If you want an ultra-fast finish time, go auto. If you don't care about time and want a lot of yield, go Photoperiod.

Just wondering how effective you think they are.
I believe they are effective and definitely one of the more beneficial additives you can use to ensure a healthy root environment. Never used ZHO but if it's just like the others out there it should do fine.

So it's been about 48 hours since i planted the sprouted seed, but it has yet to break the surface. I'm kind of worried that it's dead. I planted it about 1.5" below soil. Any thoughts?

(most people plant when they see the first signs of white root poking out BUT THE PROBLEM IS: is that the root is very delicate - messing with it - covering it in dirt - disturbing it in any way can damage the root AKA the plant and also cause PLANT SHOCK!!!!!!! And it never surfaces from the pot. Its just died in there. Also many people plant to deep or plant it upside down etc ... It is Easier and Better when you leave THE SEED ALONE UNTIL YOU SEE LEAVES! IT BECOMES STRONG ENOUGH TO BE MANHANDLED plus bonus : you can tell which way UP it goes :))

^^^ all good points....but lets not scare the kid;-)

48 hrs is nothing, i wouldn't worry.....I've had seedlings sprout after a week-ten days since planting..
1.5 inches is a little to deep, hence the longer wait......youll be fine.
