Changed and cleaned the res today. Res temps are getting uncomfortable for the roots. Just ordered a couple 10g aquarium heaters. About 60F is where I start to get uncomfortable. Boy am I glad I didn't spring for a chiller before running a few tests. Roots are looking strong and healthy. They haven't really exploded yet. It's more than likely from the stress of all the topping and training. I topped for 2, then in the same 2 week period, topped for 4. I'm going to spread the pruning sessions out next run, and going to note it in my "Whoops" journal. Picked up some stuff I'll need to get started amending the soil that I want to cook. Got started drilling some holes in a storage bin for ventilation. Going to do a few small batches of the period of a couple months and store surplus in 4mil Garbage Bags (also with some ventilation). Not much else to report. Won't be very active this upcoming week. Longer hours at work. Week after this upcoming I should be on my normal hours, and will be around to see how everyone's doing. Hope everyone has an awesome week. Stay positive. Have fun. Be safe.

I heard what happened, and I'm devastated. That's horrible news. I can only imagine how you feel. That was a legit side-by-side cannabis test that you put a lot of effort into. With great results, too. And, even greater results were to come. I call bullshit on this one. I hope you change your mind and stick around, but will totally understand if you don't. Hit me with an e-mail if you start an account elsewhere. Would love to stay in touch. You're an invaluable wealth of information, Stew. It won't be the same without you.

If you guys would like Stew to stick around, you can send a friendly PM to Rollitup and let him know how you feel.

Sad to say my PM back to Rollitup was far from friendly. You can imagine the anger i feel towards the situation.. That and the other thread by another member still exists and is not flagged as advertising.

I'm sure I know who reported me and got it deleted.

Apparently, Stew's thread involving a probiotics side-by-side cannabis test that he spent months preparing for, and working on was deleted. The reason I'm calling bullshit is because there is another page with a similar test that is still up, and active. This leads me to believe that there is politics involved. My instincts tell me that someone got upset, said something, and, without warning, his page was removed. I'm torn because I love this site, and all it's knowledgeable members, but hate when things like this happen. Especially when other steps could have potentially been taken so both the admins/mods AND the members could be happy.

I'm sorry to hear that growers can't run tests of products and share their findings. There's so much hype on the product side of growing that collecting data from growers who run legitimate experiments -- two sets of plants grown under the exact same conditions except for a single variable changed -- would be invaluable for RIU members and potentially save people thousands and thousands of dollars over their growing lifetime. People who are interested in providing this kind of data take a lot of time and effort to ensure the results of their experiments are legitimate -- logging readings and measurements, taking pictures, writing descriptions. That information is worth gold.

Even the scientific community, which has a history of not publishing negative findings, is learning that the cost of this traditional approach is in human lives. Being able to publish negative findings would save a huge amount of time for researchers everywhere, but everyone's too afraid to do it.

I hope RIU changes its policy on this. Maybe creates a separate room for experiment reports, and has a sticky explaining a legitimate format for data reporting. This is important information, and it would be nice if RIU is a leader in this area, not a follower.

That would be nice, but I don't see it happening. First we'd need to teach people how to use the scientific method and how to actually ask questions that it can answer.

I couldn't put it any better if I tried, so I am not going to. There are a couple things I have to say about the whole thing. If rules and regulations (which are stated upon registering and can be found in the section titled Forum Rules - see below) are enforced equally, why wouldn't ANYONE who mentions ANY product be considered an advertiser and be found in violation of the forum rules. If you take the time to actually read the terms of use, you can see just how vague they are. I could not find justification for the actions taken that were described as a violation in the aforementioned terms of use.

I also was very dissapointed to hear that, not only was all the data my friend was using to keep track of his active and perpetual grow lost, but, ALL of the pictures and wonderful descriptions of them, which he had not backed up on a storage drive, as well.

The guy has thousands of posts deploring the victimization of mods/admins by shall we say, unstable members, and always take the time to clarify the reasons the rules about advertising, selling, trading, and buying are not to be taken lightly, and this is how he is repayed for his clearly selfless efforts?

The fact that, even now, another thread with the same legitimate side-by-side cannabis test is still actively avaible to view is not only insulting, but irresponsible. Selective rule enforcement leaves more than just a little something to be desired. I don't want to be a part of the problem, but rather offer solutions to help better the community. Hopefully, if this issue if further discussed, we can do something positive with it. If we can't give postive feedback about it, then I'd much rather move on and talk about the consumption, and cultivation of huge, dense, frosty buds. Cheers guys. Off to work.

WOW!........ Stay tuned I will let you know when to resub to P3... He's restoring it because he didn't read it at all. just saw the title and the first post with pics and removed it.

I let him know the label was so I didn't have to answer a million questions right off the bat from the initial post. All the information anyone would want was in the paper or on the bottle so I snapped pics of it all for easier reading instead of typeing.

Great news, Stew. I'm glad someone decided to take the time to handle the situation correctly. Please post a link to the latest incarnation when you get a chance, so we can all come and enjoy. Have a good day, guys.
