Have a sour kosher outside that started flowering in mid August. Was flowering like crazy until a three day rain storm. All the pistols went brown. Having harvested this girl before, the buds are far from fully developed n not filled out It's a reveg that I let bush out. It otherwise is healthy and thriving . Trichs are clear While ideally I want it to go another week or two we also have cold weather coming in. Considering covering it for those cold nights to try n keep it going but wondering if I should just chop it n not risk frost damage. Thoughts? Pics attached

Leave it go. Just cover it with a cloth or plastic nursery cloth. It literally just has to keep the frost from settling on it. It can stay outside well into the 30 degree mark as long as the cold frosty air isn't laying on it, and the cloth allows light in but you may want to take it off during the day for proper light. Pistils turning brown has absolutely nothing to do with ripeness.

THANKS. It made it through the three cold nights w a heavy hefty bag on it overnight. Was hoping it would flower a bit more after the rain to fill out but will take it plumping up some w next two weeks forecast has it above freezing. Croptober is almost here
