Planning a dark cycle before harvest....a few questions

Just curious about peoples opinions on this.... first of all how long??? and secondly I was wondering if I should time it so she has plenty of water for her to make it through the cycle....in other words water just before the lights go out??? I'm guessing the latter is a stupid question but I just want to make sure.... ty guys!!

I was told not to water a week before harvest and to go 48-72hours of darkness. Why? I don't know. Supposively to stress the plant out so it will produce more resin. U can also do this by having a dry humidity during flowering as it causes the plant to produce extra resin to protect the leaves. Now I am tired. That's a crap load of mad scientist shit for one day.

I know from experience.... if my plant goes 3 days without water every leaf on the thing droops and it looks like its 90% dead....lol!!! this is what I want???? slightly confused and nervous now~

I don't know of a shred of evidence that this dark time accomplishes anything.

I know illegal smile.... I've read both side of the coin.... just figured it wouldn't hurt... ya know?? I'd love to hear arguments on both sides... some people swear by it... others share your opinion.... not sure what to do really

if u need this bud desparetly then my advice is dont mess with it, if ur stocked up for bud n can take chances then go for it n see wat apens ! peace !

I guess this brings up another question... if i skip the dark cycle... do I water as normal??? I was planning to chop on Thursday... and she would be due for watering on Wednesday.... if I dont water then, like I said every leaf on the plant will droop and it will look VERY sad....lol!!!

My last grow needed water every 48 hours or all the leaves would droop.

Many factors after this (type of soil, amount watered, size of plants) but the single most is temperature. My last grow was WAY too hot. This time my temps are 15 to 20 degrees F cooler. Along with my plants growing much better, I only need to water every 72 to 96 hours.
