Hey Everyone, I am planning to start my second grow. First grow was a journey and i was happy with my results. Fox Farm seemed like a great product, was recommended and is easy for beginners, i want to upgrade now that i did a good job on my first, what do you use, recommend? suggest?

I use Blue Planet Nutrients and am completely happy with the results. The Elite line is a 3 part but I get all the supplements too. It has a simple feed schedule and all together it cost less than the General Hydroponics Trio w/supplements. Free shipping on orders over 150 from their website and the support is on point with any questions and advice. I am in no way paid by these guys, I'm just stoked with the results. Someday I'll try the dry mixes, but I don't feel confident enough to take it on yet so I'm sticking to the jugs for now.

The same nutrients. The nutrient game is a money pit. To this day many legal professional growers use GH Flora trio. Mineral salts are mineral salts. Or Megacrop. Not fancy but damned good.

Thank you guys, will do som reading!
Hot rod!!!!! last grow had 4 plants, 16 weeks, 8 veg and 8 flower. A lot of work!
I’m planning to grow and harvest 1 plant, 1 gal, and I want to avoid veg time, small and manageable...any suggestions for small grow/plant with a bang?

If you want small and easily manageable, I like to copy Mr Canuck on YT and grow autos in coco and treat it like soil with organic fertilizer. I'm using autopots to keep them watered and I only stick my head in to have a look every few days, and refill the water every now and then. I feel so uninvolved but they're the healthiest plants I've ever grown.

A 1 gallon will be work trying to get production from a small pot. I would go 3 gallon at least. Blue Dream is a great producer.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Well after trying and having my seedlings ate by my cat, here it is.
Closet grow, yeah I know, I’m slacking.
Figured if I kept up with 4 plants my first time, focusing on one will be easier and one light for one plant instead of 4 fighting for life. Wish me luck. Any ideas or advice??

My cat did the same dam thing last year only he had the nerve to vomit it up on my carpet adding further insult to injury.

He walks with limp now...

Kidding . Well mostly he is getting old.

Well my first grow, when my cat was a kitten 3months, she would play in the grow box and sleep inside the pot.( washed/rinsed buds before drying/curing). Now can’t trust her

If you got the money try Canna. I can't see ever changing from Canna myself. A bit pricy but damn well worth it to me.

I've always used FF because it's worked for me, but I'm going to look into this megacrop others are talking about. Sounds interesting. And yes, cats love pot. I have to take extra steps to make sure my cat Stoney never gets near a plant. She'll devour it.

Upgrade nutes? They all contain the same basic elements just in different ratios in different parts. Simple is better. Don't fall for the slick marketing, fancy labeling, and infomercials on youtube. The nutes you're using will grow weed as will most anything else. Heck, some people use a $6 package of Miracle Grow with better success than some spending hundreds of dollars on some AN line and a dozen bottles of supplements. As far as what will give you a better grow, nutrients are at the bottom of the list. Megacrop is as good as anything else.

Stick with a pure indica and keep the lights as close as safely possible. I have 9 in 3 gallon bags. Not topped but supercropped. A grow buddy took a look at 3 weeks of veg and pronounced them not ready to flip.

This is an 80” tent. This is the plants that weren’t ready to flip at week 5 of flower. All 3 gallon fabric bags. Lucas Formula helps keep leafiness at bay. See those shorties on blocks to raise them?

I have grown guerilla many years before moving indoors. I’ve produced more bud with cheap Miracle Gro turquoise crystals than anything else. It’s a complete plant food. I’ve also got friends who can pick up a shit guitar and make it sing. It’s the singer and not the song.

Edit add: here there are many growers with thousands of square feet in veg or flower who swear by Jacks 3-2-1. From start to finish. Veg+Bloom is universally panned here so I’d skip that one. A few use Megacrop.
