i know that plant that grow too fast is a good thing but this thing is gonna turn into a tree before i get the pull any bud out! i start flowering (jan. 4) from a 2 month veg (nov.16). during these 2-3 weeks the plant grew 2 foot LONG maybe 3! the bud is BARELY visible but it's coming since i didnt give it 24-36 hours of darkness between veg-flowering.

it might be the nutes im giving it or maybe it's because of the FIMed i gave it on the first week of flowering. i gotten 7 colas. i still have 5 -8 weeks to go and i fear this plant will grow additional 3-4 feet tall by then . if so this will not be enough room in the secret closet! HELP!!

but question... does bigger plant ALWAYS yield more bud? i have a bunch of long branches which look like it's supercropping or is it possible to tie down the plant and yield the same amount?

I would slowly bend it with string and stakes or something make it into like upside down U shapes lol....that or let it hit the roof

i worried that i will hit a new record.

look at the bottom of the plant. they were all bushy.. now when flowering they shoot wayy up the stem are thick! and i do keep the light close but even that cause the plant to reach up quickly by morning after it's dark time the plant are touchin the CFL and burn the tip. OUCH!!

oh by the way i add another light to the other side of the plant. i took the picture without one on the side to take a better picture.

what i advise doing is lsting the plant, tie all the lateral branches down making a cannabis bush . the main stalk looks to thick to try lsting it this late in its life but u can try slowly but surly bending it more and more each day

i cannot CUT the top. they are flowering there also.

any picture of how things are being tie down? i cant think of where i would tie them because it's the top that keep growing upward NOT the stem.

How long has it been in flower for? You could always top it, go back to veg, LST it and then back into flower after it recovers. It all depends on how much of a problem the size of the plants is and how patient you are :P

Go to Staples or Office Depot and get yourself some binder clips. Then, go to Lowes or Home Depot in their garden centers and get some of that twist tie wire. It can be found in a roll of quite a few yards. Clip the binder clips along the edge of the pot. Then. cut yourself a length of twist tie wire and create a loop around on of the branches you want to pull down (be sure to make the loop large enough so as not to squeeze the branch) and take the other end of the wire and pass it through the binder clip and gentle pull the branches downward. You can do this to the tops too. This can over a few weeks, by pulling the branches and tops down a bit each day, reduce the height of the plant without damaging or stressing the plant. This is a good way to keep the plant out of the lights and will also help get light to hidden bud sites. This is a good way to train a plant that is getting too tall. It would have been better had you started this technique earlier, but it will work no matter when you start.

I hope this helps.

sound complicate. i have to see pictures to understand a bit more about what your saying because i dont think i get the right picture. btw the plant will stop growing so hopefully it does that soon. here's some pictures!!!

3 weeks into flowering. it would be much better if i had give it dark time between veg/flowering of 36 hours but i didnt know this till after i switch to flowering.

this is my first growth and i been staring at it for quite a while. i notice around the bud there's also very small ball. but only one. sometimes i confuse it with it being the flower that will grow out of it for ball stack.

sorry for the cheap quality camera phone

hey bosson see this is ur first grow wanted to help with whatever i can, ur using compact flourescents so they key is trying to keep ur plants very short, cfls dont have that great of light penetration compared to hps or even a mh, what u should focus on is having smaller plants with the cfls very close the all the growing tips, remember cfls can be placed withing inches me about a inch from the plants, notice how only really ur main cola is getting the majoirty of the light, u should aim for a canopy of buds so that the main cola doesnt overshadow any of the other parts of the plant.u can do this by low stress training, its basically tieing every branch down individually so the are all about the same height,ur plant also looks like it has strectched for the light since their a lil high, to get the most of of ur lights u would wanna have smaller pllaants way shorter and the cfls closerany other questions feel free to ask
