Hey Hey,

It’s my Blueberry plants last day and it’s gonna be under 24 hrs of darkness. I’ve left it outside under a box and it’s 45 degrees outside too . Is this fine? I’m hoping it’ll think it’s dying and will finish off the thc resin and turn blue or purple. What you guys think?

Also I’m making Compost tea in lukewarm water. It’s been 3 days and I don’t aerate the water with a pump just stir it every 3 hrs or so. Is this fine?

Many thanks!

One day won't make any difference...if the plant is done its done already. 1 day of darkness and cold temps won't do much if anything at all. Plants don't think; they are triggered by certain conditions. If you want to increase resin production add UV lighting and expand the spectrum of your grow lights in late bloom phase. I use a T5 with 2 eye hortiluxe full spectrum + UV and 2 agromax 10k finishing bulbs in the final few weeks of bloom cycle for this in addition to my main 600w hps flowering lamp. Old school growers used to add metal halides in late bloom for this but the T5 finisher does way better.
Stirred up water and compost is just organic sludge. After 3 days it could be anaerobic by now. If it smells bad just toss it out. If you want the benefits of an actively aerated compost tea (AACT) then you must bubble oxygen through it to increase microbial activity. The microbes actually attach themselves to the bubbles which makes them grow very quickly. Adding a source of sucrose like molasses makes their numbers multiply. The idea is to grow colonies of microbes in the tea that benefit the soil and in turn feed your plants.
