My plant is ready to cut but my house is cold like high 40s to mid 60s

Will the plant dry ok in these temps

I put a fan in where the plant will be drying and the temps go down to under 40--do i need the fan or will it be an issue w/o one

Sorry for no punctuation but ever time i hit the period comma or question mark button mu phone freezes up :/

its pretty cold in your house. you must wear your coat to bed.

its a little cold in there for drying but it will work. what is the humidity level?

Yes i have to wear a sweatshirt some nights. The air is pretty dry in my room just cold

I was going to hang the plant as a whole do you think this os a bad idea with the cold temps or should i trim off the buds and then hang it

your problem is with the cool temp and low humidity will make it dry fast. i prefer to trim the fans off and trim the buds but leave them on the plant and hang the whole plant. but trimming first is going to make it dry all that much faster.

alot of this is just experience as far as knowing when to start jarring it up. i like to try and hang for a good 6 days before jarring to start the cure. but if it is drying too fast, i may jar it up early to slow down the dry. i will clip the buds off but leave an inch of stem for the moisture. i will then go from jar to paper bags back to jars and so forth to stretch the drying process until i can start the cure process. after a couple of days of this, i clip off 1/2" of that stem from each bud. the other 1/2" of stem i will use to check for dryness. and eventually that stem will get trimmed again.

edit when jarring early make sure you dont jar it for too long and get mold.

Get yourself an awesome space heater. May cost you some money, but it will save you some time with drying.

Space heaters i have an abundance of---should i roll one right into my closet where the plant will be

Im sure temps would sky rocket into the 80s no problem

You can do that. My only suggestion is, if you put it in your closet, leave the door open a bit. You still need some type of fresh air circulation in there.

Do you not have another grow on the go ? shame as exhaust fans are a free supply of warm air you could have vented your grow into your room and got free heating lol

humidity is more important than temperature tbh. i jar it up when the outside of the bud is crunchy but the stem doesn't break when i bend it. although temps around freezing might mess things up, as water will expand and break the plant cells.
