Plant Pot Size

Just a newbie question here i've seen 2 or 3 foot plants grown in what looks to be smaller soil containers.

Right now my plant just hit the one foot mark. measured from the base to the highest node. Took a look at the bottom got one big furry root coing out and just some little dangly ones. The plant is one week into flower.

Just wondering but is my 10 inch pot enough to grow this baby until harvest? i've seen it done in other grows but maybe my plant is a root growing machine? Hell i've seen on here 3 foot plants in 6 inch pots.

Anything to worry about? soil still stays damp when watered and only needs water maybe twice a week right now.

do i gotta watch the plant for balls if i replant due to the stress it'll cause when i repot? That's really the only thing i'm worried about its not the fact that i may have to do it just that i got lots of preflowers with pistils all over the plant and no balls and i'm worried if i repot that it'll cause undue stress and it'll go hermi on me.

The rule of thumb I use.... 1 gallon for every foot.

2ft plant, 2 gallon....3ft plant, 3 gallon etc.

When I used a 65 gallon pot that didn´t happen.
:) :D
65 foot plant ? :o

i usualy start in a 0,25-0,5L pot to put the seed and i move to a 1,5-2L pot after about 2 weeks and after one month or more of veging , at least one week before flowering i move the girls in 5L pots an befor harvest they could have about 1 meter

IMHO....decide how much YOU want to grow....go from there. I only grow for my medicinal use so huge plants are not required. I grow in 4" pots with quality seeds or cuttings and have plenty. I also vape which doesn't use 1/2 of what I once did. Then again, I don't grow for bragging rights... I simply wish to control my own supply with quality bud. Size of the plant does not determine potency....... Having grown bonzai trees for 20 yrs kinda made it easy.... then again, it ain't rocket science.

well i did transfer into a 2.5 gallon pot. I was thinking about enlarging my grow closet anyway So its got plenty of room to grow now. When i pulled out the plant though i did notice that most of the dirt was taken up by roots except for maybe 10% of the top part but i can see the roots were working their way up to the top. So in all essence i feel the plant would have been rootbound by week 3 flowering. the plant took very well to the repotting even though it was a rush job as well. Its kind on an angle but once the roots take hold and start expanding the plant will straighten up like it did the last time i repotted.
