plant problems

All that i am good at so far is nearly killing my plants. Just when i thought that they were doing good, the leaf tips began to wilt and the edges of the leaves are a lighter green. The plants are under 6 40watt t12 tubes at (6500k). The PH of the soil is right on 7 and i am using miracle grow potting soil and perlite. The plants are about 30 days old. I flushed the soil of the 2 larger ones yesturday and raised the lights.(the lights were only about an inch away but shouldn't matter with floro's?) They are under 24 hour light which i am about to change to 18/6.
If I haven't given enough info. let me know. I'm not concerned with the tiny one because i don't think that there is much hope for it.
Thanks
C

looks like nute burn and over watering. flush throughly and water with water only next water, add nutes at 1/4 strength intervals every week.

Thanks for the help. I'll give you an update. I thought that the water that I was buying had a neutral PH, but it did not. I am religiously PH'ing my water as I should have been all along. I then realized that the venilation in the box was poor and have fixed that problem. The plants seem to love these changes. So to the other newbies out there, ph your water and make sure that your plants are getting plenty of fresh air. Here is an update on the once sick plants. Thanks again.

Flower that puppy boy. Perhaps its a satavia. They seem to grow pretty tall. I've found the yield to be so low I'm not going to grow those varieties for a while.

I think it's just birn marks on the leaf's. try spraying some water on your leafs when it's ther bed time, NOT WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON.dont feed them untel 4-5 weeks if u can.+your ph is 2 high u want a 5.5 gust 2 b shore u can get ph aguster in any good pet shop.... excuse the speling i had a miss spent child hood......:peace:OUT

i need help. i pinched out the tips of one of my hydro babies and i think i overdid it. now the plant has not generated any regrowth on the upper two branches (what would have been a double crown) . but it is now getting a lot of tangled smaller leaves and branches underneath. its been about eight days,
is there anything i can do to regenerate growth a the top of the plant. it looks healthy enough but theres no sign of new growth at the top. maybe i should remove the affected branches. and let the lower part of the plant take over. its my first time growing so advice would be great people. plants about 10 inches tall.

my first grow...I have been growing my babies since April. they have done really well. they are about 6 feet tall, bushy and green. I noticed the bottom leaves turning yellow. I researched the problem. I gave them miracle grow. also, I read that I shouldn't give them tap water. it said to let the tap water sit for 24 hours. I did this yesterday morning. about 1 hour later all of the leaves wilted. it is still alive, just extremely wilted. can my babies be saved?
