I have a Ebb& flow system with 3 plants in it, My plants have been on 12/12 light for about 3.5 weeks. Plant tray is flooded every 4 hours for 4 minutes, just enough time to fill the plant tray for 1 minute, while totally full. I am useing 4.25 OZ of Botanicare Power flower, 7.0 tsp of KoolBloom, and 56 ml of Hygrozyme for 7 gallons of RO water at about 5.5-6.0 PH. Only one plant is looking bad. This trouble is only in the middle part of the plant mainly. Little up top but not much.

Any Ideas on what is going on here? here is 3 photos, first 2 photos are of the bad plant, and the 3rd one is of one ot the healthier plants.

Some of the Bottom fan leafs are turning very yellow.

Any help with be greatly appreciated.

"4.25 OZ of Botanicare Power flower ..."

That's for a 7 gallon rez? What do the directions on the bottle call for? Sounds like a lot to me.

The PowerFlower 2/2/5, says to use 1 oz per gallon. But I also added 7 tsp of the koolbloom 0/10/10, which says to add 1-2 tsp per gallon. Maybe I should have just put 3 tsp of the KoolBloom.

Well here is what I have done to try and fix this. I went to the Hydro store and bought a PPM pen. I tested the RO water I am useing, it says 30 PPM. I then tested my resevoir Nut Water, it said 1560, So I am thinking I have 1530 PPM of nutes. So I removed 3 gallons of nut water, and replaced it with 3 gallons of fresh RO water, with no nuts. I got the PPM of the nut water down to 840.
I then took the sick plant out of the Plant tray and put in Kitchen sink. I flushed clean RO water with 5.5 PH through it. I then tested the RO water I flushed through the plant. It was at 1380. So I drained sink water. and flushed plant again. Water in Sink this time was about 850, So I flushed again, and it was at about 500. One last time and it was at about 250 PPM for the water comeing out the bottom of my pot.

I am hoping this will fix my trouble. I am thinking I over did the nuts. Even though the KoolBloom says to mix your regular amount of nuts, then add Koolbloom , I thinking doing it this way over nut'd my plants.

What do you guys all think?

If that was the problem for this plant that should have solved it.Curious, what medium are you using?
WOW!! that is a good question....
I bought an "american Agritech Microgarden Ebb & Flow System, which came with this Botanicare Organic Soiless Grow Substrate. No other name.... Blended With Select Ingredients:: LMAO... Perlite, Coir Fiber, Worm Castings, Pure Blend Compost accelerator, Agrimineral 76 silica clay/polymere hydro-crystalls... I did not like this stuff, to hard to wash and not let some of that crap in your nut water for the first month.

Oh here. I will take a photo of the stuff. Let me know what it is, so I never buy it again. :)

I was told by Hydro Store, to place the timing of flooding of Nuts, at every 4 hours for just long enough to flood the tray. My plants looked so dam good until about a week ago. and just 3 days since they look this bad. But now, I have been reading about people only flooding twice a day, but with Rockwool. Anyone know how often and how long to flood with my type of medium @ 3-4 weeks into flowering?

Please, Someone save my ass here.. :)

Well, it looks like your nute strength is fine, for hydro that is. Since the medium you're using is not inert, IOW it has nutrients in it, I don't know if you can call your setup hydro. You would be fine in growrocks, or rockwool, but you're feeding large amounts when they could probably grow just fine with few additions. So you were right to flush. It seems like a very dense medium, maybe 1 or 2 floods/day will keep it wet enough. Use an even weaker strength.

It's Botanicare's medium and nutes, have you called them to ask? Their number is 877-753-0404.

Trouble was Calcium, iron, and Magnesium Defiency. I bought and added 1 oz of CalMag+ to my 7 gallon Resevoir. Also the Worm Shit in my medium is gone in about 2 weeks, just long enough to get the plants rooted some.

Oh...P.S.

I was able to use tap water for the flowering stager, and just let the water sit out for 24hrs+, But for the flowering cycle I bought RO water. I did not consider the filtered out minerals needed in the water. Swing and a MISS.

How many strikes can I take? I think that is either 2 or 3 stikes, not sure.
