this is just my own personal thing, but i soak my seeds in a small tuppeware container for about 1/2 a day to 24 hours and then plant them shallow into the soil, then water or use the water from the container. after the soil starts getting dry the plants will pop up. it could take up to a week for them to come up but if you are lucky it will be about 3 days.

sometimes you have to pull the skin off the seedling and help it to open up but wait for a day to see if it does it on its own first before u do this because you might stunt its growth. dont use any ferts for a few weeks until its showing 5 finger leafs. make sure that spot has 8 hours of sunlight a day or more. hope this helps.

Just water heavily once you transplant, I used worm casting in my mix this year because ive heard really good things about it

make shure ure soil is gonna b nice and loose after watering , i find when using regular earth it tends to pack tight and when it dries its like pottery , hard as hell . add greensand and perlite until it stays relatively loose after watering . composted or old barnyard shit works well at a 20-30% mix in the dirt
