Planting too early in the spring = auto flowering due to light

early spring, such as now, is causing my smaller plant to flower, but now since days are getting longer, it seems like its going back into veg. my question is... should i plant more now?

also, where can i get cheap inexpensive soil--without flirting with some sleazy hydro store guy--

Yes plant now. And buy soil in bulk . You can have a dump truck drop some loam off

Autos don't flower with any day length ...thats photos that do that, as the days get longer a photo perdioc plant will return to veg growth ...but not an auto flower, go get some perlite and fox farm? ocean forest from a local home depot or any good garden store

Avoid the local grow store as the prices are at best thru the roof?

Lol, one of my local hydro stores hires nothing but women. One year I got a pallet of roots organic (60+ bags) and she only charged me for one bag. I spent like 2k I there that day so it went unnoticed even by me.

I agree that planting now is the right time, depending on how far north you are. I'm around the 40th parallel in the Emerald Triangle region of California and our daylight/night time based on sunrise/sunset is 14 hours/10 hours right now so I doubt very many here would have problems planting outdoors now.

And I agree with theexpress, check around for suppliers that let you buy in bulk if you need a truck full or more. In my area, we can get Fox Farms in bulk for less than half the bagged cost.

Plant more, with a light on them for a few extra hours. You could try and make that plant re veg faster with some veg ferts and more lighting but you may lose out on a month of veg time waiting for the plant to do it's thing.

those Eco Scraps compost and soil are good for a moment. Definitely inferior to fox farms, but with all that other product stacked with it, that make a pretty decent soil. On its own, it needs help. IMO.

Here is a plant that grew that was from another plant from last year (it dropped a seed) and she started to flower already and look at how beautiful the buds are. I have only watered her as well no nutes. Oh yeah it is og kush. If you want it to keep flowering just cover it at night.

That place closed shop last year or the one before that. The other place, garden depot used to have nice dudes that never tried to upsell me and would give advice my first year growing. I don't think I'd have done half as well if it wasn't for Skippy. Now it's all chicks that wear bikini in the summer and they don't know jack.

Discount Hydroponics in the I.E. Has ffof 1.5cubicft and ffHf 2cubicft for ten bucks a bag. Kellogg's went under fire a little bit ago for its contents... I think it was sludge from a sewage filtration center... Human Poo... Don't quote me, but I read it in a few places in the last few years. My 2¢.
