stick your finger 3 inches into the topsoil, if its mostly dry then water them. if your finger gets moist then wait it out

Here is a thread by Uncle Ben. I've never met him but I think he's forgotten more than I will know check it out.

ps. as your plant gets bigger water requirements increase. I started every 3 days when they are small now I'm in the 2nd week of flower I'm at 40oz one day and 32 oz the next. Got to water every day in 5gal buckets or they start to droop. Your plant may just be telling you it's getting bigger and needs more water.

Drooping leaves is from either overwatering or to much mollasses, but I think since you still in veg it's from over watering. Check the wieght of your pot if it's heavy you do not need any water. My plants look like they are the sam age as yours and I usually water once a week. My plants are in 2 gallon buckets, check my thread.

One other thing is that the larger your pots are the more soil is available to store water until the plant uses it. Not saying you can't grow in small pots because you can quite nicely, you just have to keep a closer watch on water as your plant grows.

The leaves are likely drooping as a result of overwatering. Basically any plant with palmate leaves will droop when overwatered. It's always better to use too little water than too much water on most plants. This benefits the plant because if there is no water easily available, the plant has to send roots farther out to search for water, thus strengthening the root system. More and better roots will lead to much bigger flowers, if you get my drift!

overwatering, not underwatering. Get something reflective over those black buckets too, they just absorb the heat and stress the roots

In your case it might be under watering. Just pick the leaves up lightly do they feel life less ifso the chances are they are under watered, in 5 gal pots you should be giving at least 2.5 gallons of water. Are you also using any nutes?
