So im doing an O.d. guerilla grow and everything was going pretty good, but today when i arrived a few of the big ones, one of which had been topped early to produce two huge chutes,(from the ground up, appearing to be two plants) had split at the ground fallen over. One had split and i lost one chute, with one remaining laying flat, which i propped up with a stick (so it basically has a huge wound at the bottom of it where the other huge stem came out. The other appeared that it had been on the ground for a few days, because a bunch of the leaves had been all decomposing. anyways, after much debate with myself i pulled it seeing as how since it had fallen over and snapped, only about 1/3 of the main stem was in tact at the base, and it could barely support itself. to set the scene my area has had a lot of rain lately. The thing that freaked me out was that the base where the main stems snapped were just kindof yellow, and seemed slightly rotted, but not really moldy or anything. What Do you guys think caused this?? What could i dot to prevent this in the future? Is this because of the rain. i dont think it was deer, it just seemed weird like something just crushed it, but stepped right in the crotch of the plant where the stems come out and made it split. whatever i guess i still have some left!!
