Plants dying from soil's low PH...Please Help!

Hi! Newb here...I planted my clones in a soil mix as I want them to be my mothers for a long time.

I mixed peat moss (75%) and perlite (25%) into 1 gallon pots....my biggest mistake...and transplanted the babies into them.

They grew just fine until they got to be about 12" tall and then started showing signs of nut burn/problems. I checked the Ph of the soil to find that it was 4 and lower! I now have a bag of dolomite lime and Im not sure how to add it to the soil and not harm the roots or plants.

Two of my mothers are close to death. Please help...all of them are having problems. Thank you all so much!

What should I do? Flush?

I found the search button...I can't find the perfect solution but Im going to raise my soil's PH with PH corrected water...1 point at time to allow for less plant stress.

I'll try not to overwater when I do this. Let them dry out a bit between corrections. Hope these mothers are cool with me.

yea sounds like salt build ups. i vote for flushing it. my theory is since soil meters use conductivity to measure ph then the higher the ph usually the more salts in the soil. flushing it with tap water will get out the salts and also should help raise the ph simply by using tap water which is usually neutral or slightly alkaline.

Yeah four is way to low sir.

I would recommend getting a grow ph up and wash with a ph like 7.5 or something.

If the soil ph is that low then it is going to take a bit to get it back to normal. Your mothers are STRESSED now. GET THEM HEALTHY.

Its like I don't get people that will tell you that it shocks a fish to throw him into new water directly and how it is unhealthy, but generally speaking for a fish dirty water means it cant breath.

I am not sure how you would really feel about the situation but if you closed your garage and had your car running eventually you would probably want to get some 100% fresh air even though it is a little SHOCKING.

Thanks for all the replys...Im doing an easy flush and things are looking okay...I think its going to take a little time for recovery but they seen to be growing....all except one.
