My plants are autoflowers and have an estimated harvest time of 80 days but most of them have already started to develope tricomes on the canopies sugarleaves. They started to flower less then 2 weeks ago. By the time the plants have fattend up around day 70-80 wont these early tricomes be alot degenerated?

Is this normal?

There are different types of trichomes. The ones on the leaf aren't what you're after. You will see stalked glands with round heads covering the calyxes by 8 or 9 weeks. The calyxes will swell and the trichomes will be visible to the naked eye.

But the single calyxes below the buds on the mainstalks nodes are covered in tiny thin tricomes to.

Its normal, just keep an eye on them start week 7ish and harvest just as the odd one starts to turn amber as that means they are strating to degrade. Well thats what I do lol. The degradation will happen fairly quicly so check often.
