I think people are listing their servers in case anyone else has a char on there and wants to play....are you trying group up? I think I want to reroll on a new server and build a guild up from scratch. Would be fun to do with some cool ppl, all you have to do is send me a request or pm your battle.net and I'll send you one.
That was just a reply to the person who said people were taking a big risk posting WoW info on here. I did not see enough info to warrant the paranoia.

I'm saying giving someone on here your BNet name is risky, as your BNET is tied to your real life info.

I'm mainly talking about people posting journals, with pics of their grow. They are probably smart enough to anonymize themselves to the best of their abilities while posting their journals, but I would have to say they are probably not anonymizing themselves while playing wow or any other online games.

I'm not telling anyone what to do or not to do, just making sure people are thinking it all through before they go hooking up with random people on here.

I'm not here to argue, just offering some friendly advice. Take it or leave it. :)

Edit: I browsed the rules and dont see anything against posting links over to ICMAG but please correct me if it is not allowed. This is the thread over there talking about it. They do a pretty decent job explaining exactly why it CAN be risky. I'm not saying they are coming to get you, I just want people to use their brains.

The first paragraph does a decent job explaining the technical details of why it can be unsafe.

I'm a pretty hardcore gamer, and I understand wanting to meet up with like minded people. Especially with all the jackoffs out there on xbox live or any mmo. I am not trying to discourage this, just making sure people understand exactly what they are doing. The internet is a terrible thing for anonymity.

i used to play a rogue on zuljin, started back in 08?....havent played in months....but i would consider coming back to play with cool people. all my old friends quit playin so i dont know anyone besides the folks i met playing the game. i think i had something like 10000+ achievement points when i last played...ill have to check.....lol

If you play World of Warcraft then you are most likely an introverted geek who has a hard time functioning in modern day society so to avoid contact (and possible harassment) with normal people you take refuge under your magical nickname moniker that displays you as some form of powerful human that you wish you actually were. If you continue to play that game you will be forever be in compitition of the nerd-core throne, a throne that you only sit on for a few moments before you brought down by a much more experienced nerd.

wow...just wow. LOL i used to play WoW with Adrianne Curry from Americans Next Top Model.........smh. stereotypes are as ignorant as the person handing them out

Doesn't the new Guild Wars come out soon? Remember the previews looked pretty good, think GI just did an article.

Do you play on PS3? Was actually just thinking about picking it up...Used to play on xbox, but sold my system since it was barely used.

Ya ya we got it. Sick people that happen to have met on WoW. They probably would have beat the child to death regardless of the game. There's your feed for the day. A little ego padding for you.

Yes, Johnny, we realize that you are too cool for words, so you post your infantile pictures. We understand that you don't play this game, so thanks for telling us, and there is no need for you to post in this thread.

Thanks

lol hell yea, especially if you do it right. Never feel sorry for people begging for gold, it's too easy!
When I decided that I was quitting WOW I taught the first noob that approached me and asked for gold how to play the market to make his own gold then gave him 10gold... within a week I swear half the items in the market on the server were being sold by him...

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Seems we have a troll on this thread, and not the WoW variety. They are much cooler and probably get more pussy.
