very nice love stealth setups!!!

how does that shelf move, wheels??
Hey guys, first hopefully everybody has a merry x-mas. n happy new year.

Hulk to answer ur question yes it is wheels, well actually they are called castors. Basically i just built a floor/moving type dolly, and using that as a base then built the shelf on top. It is not yet automated but it could easily be with a garage door opener type apparatus.

Calibob, as of now i am only controlling the ph of the nutes with the plc. It is a simple process. I have a ph transmitter which reads the ph of the nutes and then transmits an amount of voltage that is in direct correlation to the level of ph to the plc. The plc then reads in that voltage and coverts it to a number from 0 to 32,767. That number is relative to the level of ph. So then through some mathematical equations I convert that number to an actual ph reading. Then with some programming i tell a small dosing/peristatic pump to release a few millilitres of ph down int the nute solution whenever the ph is above a certain level. According to advanced nutrients you should let your ph rise all the way to 7.5 before actually adjusting. The tech says it has to do with different nutrients that become available to the plant at different ph levels. So, I then make the program wait 10 minutes before attempting to add more ph down to gice the res time to completely adjust. And wha la perfectly ph'd res all the time. As far as nutes goes for now i will mix by hand.

Today i also raised my ppm's from 200 to 300ppm. I had some really bad nute burn so i drastically lowered ppm's and am working my way back up to proper ppm level.

So after alot of research on my chosen strain of super lemon haze I found that it is a very fast vertical grower, almost overwhelming in some grow rooms. To prevent a plant from overgrowing your room you can either top, fim, tie down, scrog, or some other method to control vertical growth. I have chosen to tie-down my girls to create a kind of screen of green. Basically I will bonzai the plants and force them to sort of bend around the open spaces in the room. This will allow, 1. more tops 2. promote lower branch development 3. fill wasted space 3. allow more light to lower section of plant ... I'm sure I could keep going.

I used some air tubing and rope to tie down the girls.

this baby is turnin right

and this 1

Yep these girls are lookin goooooooood!!!

Startin to fill in now!!

I will continue training the plants untill screen of green is created. If anyone has any tips on scroggin or my attempt at it please let me know. I am new to this and hopin im doin it right?

O.K. today we have mixed up a fresh res. I noticed after using the r/o water that my ph was fluctuating from 5.6 to 7.5 rapidly. After doing some research I learned that when using r/o water you MAY need to add cal mag back into the water since the r/o removes it. Some people say you must add the cal mag. After speaking with advanced nutrients support I was told that there is no need to add actual cal mag, but you can simply add tap water back to the res at 75:25 ratio. I mixed a res to be 150ppm by adding tap water. Then added nute to raise ppm to 600. Roy from A/N told me the cal and mag in the tap water act as buffers for the water. The buffers will help to resist chang to the ph. I have already noticed that my ph is more stable. Last night I mixed a res at 5.6ph and today were still hangin at 5.8. This is a great improvement. I am thinking I will not need to supplement with cal mag unless I notice a deficiency.

Has anyone tried adding some tap water back to r/o or distilled water as a substitute for cal-mag?

What will be my first signs of a cal-mag deficiency?

I have read that if i do use cal mag to add it to res at 100ppm. Is this accurate?

I use 100ppm calmag to make up for the calcium iron deficit I experienced without it

thnx earl

i BELIEVE I WILL begin with the actual cal mag next res change. I'd rather know exactly what im feeding my girls rather than the mystery of tap water as a supplement.

okie dokie, had some major paranoia this week seein as how two seperate ops in my area were infiltrated by the so called, law enforcement. Y dont they spend money defeating real crime. Y is it still a crime to provide an all natural, biological alternative to chemical treatment. Its a travesty seeing good people portrayed as criminals.

i have been pondering shuttin down the grow due to the unknowingness of who is informing on who, who is safe to b around, and basically just the risk since it was so close to me. I know risk taking is a reality of growing, but it was an eye opener seeing people i know on the news with the local police. I am kinda looking for advice and a recommendation if it is sensible to continue on, or to shut her down for a while. and let things cool down.

I do know ignorance and greed led to the bust. Who the heck would exaust up the chimney and out to the neighborhood for people to smell. STUPID idea. The second guy was just goin overboard lookin for a big payoff. I can say confidently I am neither ignorant nor greedy.

Does a smart man continue on in the face of danger, or retreat to safer ground?????

O.k., ive decided untill convinced otherwise that were goin on. We will tighten up the ship and stay a step ahead. No leaks, no smells, no noises or hums, no visitors, cuttin out the people who could b a risk factor, if anybody asks me I say I gave it all away, and I'm done.

Time will pass and nerves will settle. Besides these lil girls are boomin.

I have finished settin up the scrog. This is only my first grow so I did not attempt any topping or fimming techniques on this go around. I wanna see wut they do naturally. I began tying down each plant and training the main stock to run horizontily, and off shoots were trained n bent vertically to aim at filling in the canopy. It has been 2 weeks since my last update. The girls spent the first week still hangin out in the veg tent. They got a fresh res again this week as they will every week. First the 0ppm R/O water will b ph'd to 5.6. Next, cal mag added to 100ppm, finally nutes added to 650ppm final. The girls responded to the higher nutes very well, and showed that they could def. handle higher levels. Each day a little training and tying was done to expose any tops to the light.

(Damn, been keepin my distance from all other growers in my area since the bust this week for safety sake so all I felt safe gettin was some mid-grade. Amazingly, I just put that poop in the volcano vape and it was nice. Same vape taste pretty much, but more of a couch lock high which is nice for a change. most dank in a good vape is usually more heady. I guess mid grade vaped is more stony. Fak and a 1/3 of the price. Anyone else try vapin lower quality weed with good results? Geez it must be good I went off on a whole tangent about it. Plus its been 15 hours since my last session. O.K. gotta get back to the task at hand!!

FLOWER TIME BABY!!!!!! YEAH!!!! I have never made it flower time before!!

U know it! res it up to 1000ppm baby!!
The girls have been moved to the flower room. I will now be switching to A/N Connesseur for flowering. Also during the first week we add bud blood and pirahna at recommended doses. The girls will also receive there bi weekly foliar feed of A/N's B-52 and jumpstart. I enable the flower mode in my computer program and wah-la, lights, fans, heater, pumps, co2 come alive. I love this f'n set-up!!!

The "screen", which is actually trellis netting, was found at my local hydro shop It's basically just a grid made out of twine. The grid squares are 5" x 5". Lights are off now so next post will show detailed pics. CO2 is administered at same level as tthe nutes. This was recommended by A/N. I was told there is a correlation between nute level and co2. He confidently told me any co2 above the nute level is basically waste. I would like to hear some thoughts about that concept. Most say 1500ppm for co2 the whole way through. With the plants each moved to their new homes, and res mixed, we can lower the screen and spread these babies out. Each potential top will be bent n trained into its own square. The result is an even canopy of mini-tops, all receiving good lighting.

Today is day 5 of flower nthere lookin like beauts!!!!

Pics soon, i deleted em all

Today we took some cuttings from the lower sections of each of the girls. For the next cycle. The strongest of each strain will be chosen as moms. and the rest veggged. I also trimmed most of the lower growth on the flowering girls since most likely it will never get any light once the canopy gets a lil more dense. The plants will then concentrate more energy on only the tops. I calibrated my pH meter today to find it had fallen way off. I thought I was up to 6.5, but after calibrating 5.4. So we raised 5.6 and hope they didnt get injured. All girls seem to be lookin good!!! Here's some pics.

Day 6 12/12

5 girls were cute enough to hang out with me in the flowerin room. Theres a couple ugly lookin strugllers still veggin. Might just kill em.

2 super lemon haze
2 white russian
1 snow white

Well there they are. I was havin a hard time tryin to get a good pic with the camera phone I gotta get a new digi camera, I was livin in a bad neighborhood tempoarily untill I bought my house and had terrible feelings about security the whole time. I definitely wasnt comfortable enough to start a grow there. Any way came home one morning and found out i got robbed. 3 digi cameras (one was a fat azz waterproof cam u could scuba dive n shit with, 2 computers one of which was bad ass and had priceless software i use as an engineer, my playstation 3 and a bunch of other shit. Only electronics i had left was my 52 inch flat screen. Fukin thing was to big for the punks to steal. But screw them, I got most of that shit back now, except for the digi cam. Whoa, another tangent, i guess i had to vent, where were we???

Oh yeah thats all we gots for now. I cant wait to see some buds.

:leaf:bongsmilie:leaf:bongsmilie:leaf:bongsmilie:leaf:

OK OK

Wait your a smart man you need to setup a camera system in your house be able to switch it on when you leave. Hide the system so shit if it happens again now you know who's doing it.

To the Grow

Plants are looking full and beautiful man, the green just shows your giving them the right TLC.

Do all three strains end around the same times ?

Thnx hulk, I appreciate ur insight, we must be on the same level or sumthin. I have already dun the research on cams for around the house. We cant set up some alarm system that alerts the police ya know. Im looking into these motion activated cams that record to a computer, and also it will call up to 10 cell numbers when alarms tripped, if I choose. So if someone enters my home I will surely know it. I also had lojack installed onto my new laptop!!! Let those fockers try stealin this one. I'll show up at their doorstep.

As for finishin times, that could b an issue, I know white russian is 56-63 days, super lemonhaze 63-70 days, and snow white is 56-70 days.

My nute regimen is designed to step up to 1500 then back down to a flush for the final 2 weeks. Im thinking it may be necessary for me to set up different reservoirs for different strains. Also I read that lowering your humidity as much as possible in those last two weeks can really cause the plant to pump out some sticky resin.
Sux that one strain might b in final two weeks when the others still have a month to go!!!

I have deifinitely been learning along the way and now understand that if your gonna grow different strains, they should be close in height and flowering time to have a uniform crop and harvest.

well right on with the upgrades to your system and i know you will get them if they come around agian

well its going to be nice to have a harvest back to back lots of work for two months but then the vacation on a mountian of buds will be nice!!

Damnn it I just wrote an entire post on the problem im having and then stupid computer went offline and I lost the post. Anyway 2 of the girls are experiencing leaf curl or clawing. I know this could be related to a number of factors. The only thing different is a new res with higher nute levels, and the humidity is getting way to high. I'm seeing 65-75%. Also my temps are a little high. I am not seeing nute burn so I believe nute levels are ok. My temp is a lil high but with the co2 it should b ok, but we will lower temps a little bit. We will definitely go today and get a dehumidifier and get that humidity down to around 45%.

Any suggestion on what causes curling under/clawing effect please let me know. I need to prevent this from spreading.

Part 2:

Well went to get dehumidifier and they want way toooooo much at the store. I need to find a small, mini dehumidifier? Any suggestions on good efficient small dehumidifier please let me know. Also, leaf tips are starting to show a lil nute burn. Lowered my ppm about 150ppm to 950ppm, hope this was the culprit. Growth seems to have slowed. Maybe a little stunted after taking clones and trimming lower growth from scrog. Next time this will all be done in veg.

Part 3:

OK so I called Roy at advanced nutrients and he says im over watering!! he says lower the cycles, says I need to let the roots dry a lil more in between feedings. This may also solve my humidity problem!! This all has happened since changing to flower room. I gotta get this dialed in. I think it gets a bit more difficult when trying to grow multiple strains. Also, working with a couple plants that werent so hot from the start!! My girls that have been healthy since day one are still looking great. They will definitely be chosen to continue on as long as their clones root. Man this shit gets emotional when your babies get a lil sick. Just gotta get a bit more experience under my belt. I wanna see all beautiful plants from start to finish. Thats when you know you got it right!!

Today I attempted a half ass flush to fix up the girls. In addition to some clawing goin on I am noticiing some yellowing of upper leaves on the same plants that r curling. I believe this is a ph related issue. I flood and drained twice with plain r/o water. If the yellowing persists I will give em a full day flush. These two flush cycles were the only feedings of the day. I have set the system to run normally with feedings scheduled at 12, 16, and 21 hours. Previously I was feeding at 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22. Lights on is 12 to 24 hours. I will watch the girls and see how they respond. Maybe better schedule is 12, 15, 18 and 21.

Its a sad sad day in my grow room. Today I took at look at lights on to, at first be surprised at the new growth I noticed. After a closer look I was devasted to find that my healthiest plant is a male!!! WTF!!! And it looks straight male, no hermie, just pollen sacks. Damn I knew it was a possibility but why me. I have had nothing but problems since switching to 12/12. Did Something I do force my feminized seed to go male/hermie??

I immediately removed HIM from my garden, and now I sit and wait to see if he has affected the others!! Damn!!! My best lookin plant is a male:sad::sad::sad::sad::sad::cuss::cuss::cuss:

Well I took a closer look and found that the utopia haze straggler that I moved to the flower room is also male!!! Now were down to 3 healthy girls and 2 stragglers. 1 super lemon haze, 1 white russian, and 1 snow white are healthy. Man what a bummer!!
