Please check me OUT! Cab Design, Light, Seeds, GROW!

so I am about to build my Cab... I have a 24" 4 bulb Tek Light T5HO that I used for a planted aquarium that is no longer in use... It is amazingly bright and I think that for growing one plant at a time it will work well... please correct me if I am wrong...

I am going to grow one plant at a time only because we are growing for personal use only and really dont need to have 6 oz on hand at all times LOL I am thinking about growing DWC in a 5 Gal Bucket.

Smell is the biggest issue... not so much keeping light in but smell is a huge issue... so the two exhausts will have two charcoal filters one sucking through charcoal and one pushing through charcoal... and the cab will have Ona gel as well...

My biggest question is the lighting... currently the fixture has two 6000k 24 watt bulbs and two 5700K Aqua Floura lights that are very red/Pink

I think that it would work great but again who knows... if you do please tell me!!!

I think I would go with the Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur setup which would be Connoisseur A and B, VooDoo Juice, Big Bud, B-52, Overdrive all during flowering but I think for my first grow I would only go 1/2 power on Nutes just because I see so many people having problems with them...


oh and this is going to be a 12/12 from seed grow... massive yields are not necessary so we will just go for time and quality over mass amounts. well it will be 12/12 except when I have an Auto in there then it will be 18/6 or 20/4 have not decided yet.

use 18/6 for a month keep all your lights use 1 of each and buy 2 x 2700-3300k or 2x 2700-3300k + 2x 5700k for bloom.
From seed to 2 weeks use the 6000k/5700k at 4 weeks hit 12/12 switch the bulbs to 2700-3300k/5700k or buy 4 x 2700-3000k 5700k's would benefit your spectrum keeping your plant smaller during veg and bushier but still producing good nugs for you and your friends.

this is what i recommend if you guys want to smoke something worth smoking, while keeping the size down. With the lights you have you do not need to worry about small yields.

You could also pick up a 10000k light to replace 1 2700k bulb for the last 1-2weeks of flower.
The bulb you want to find is 2700k if you cant find em up to 3300k will work.

Very very good assumption! You can keep em at half dose from the manufacturing that is what a lot of people do. You save usage, plus benefit from less hassle. Overall healthier plant. You can play with the dosage as you get a grasp on your green thumb.

I think you will do good on this grow.
Don't forget to flush on the last 2-3 weeks of harvest as well, straight water too.
Watch your ppm's with the plat food and you wanna watch tap water
reverse osmosis is key. fresh water.
or buy bottled water lol

nice I am going to head down to the Local Hydro store and see if they have them... if not... well looks like I will be looking into like a 250 Watt HPS... and start with 10000K CFL for two weeks them move into HPS??

cause again I have another aquarium light I could use that has two 21" 10000K 55 Watt bulbs in it...

6000k for clones the 10000k bulb is for the end of flower you can forget about it if you want to and worry about the others. 6000k is a soft white light which the clones can uptake further into veg they seek 5700k from the suns spectrum ( they will not stretch for the light as much with 5700k i.e bush out ) after that they absorb 2700k mostly making the other spectrum's not as beneficial. one or two 5700k in flower would keep your plant shorter.
LED would be better for your setup 300watt would work wonders but you will want more plants in there even with a 250hps
300watt LED will save you money in the long run and compares to a 600w HPS with little heat.

put a screen over your plants with a 300w LED Scrog it and you and your friends will have some dank ass buds.

You gotta remember to buy short Indica plants rather then sativa which grow big.. indica ranges from 1.5f-6f+ so you gotta find the right strain for your op.

since you want short veg you wont use this to its full extent but you can get a idea from it and apply to your own.

use this for seedlings/clones with 6000k

near harvest 1-2weeks toss it in as a supplement lighting.

got some ferts and net pots... looks like I will be doing two plants at a time... plus a friend is going to let me use his UFO for my first go around.

has anyone ever used these nutrients? the guy at the Hydro shop loved them and showed me some grows using them looks impressive... but please let me know if anyone has had experience with them.. thanks!

never used tho nutes before, i personally use Earth Juice Blend 100% organic

I am going to shoot as much light as possible in there... we will see what comes of it as soon as the seeds arrive! and the nutes... well they spoke for themselves in the pictures I saw... but I will just have to see for myself!

Have not gotten them yet... I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...

But some other good news... we are going to grow one of the Automatics outside on my friends balcony I am really excited to see all the major differences.. Indoor-Outdoor, Hydro-Soil, I am really getting pumped to do this for sure!
