What nutes are you using? The feeder tubes should not be connected at this point in the grow (or ever for that matter)
What was the pH? How much nutes did you use? Do you have a ppm meter? Is your plant in a net cup w/ hydroton or something else?
Answering some of these basic questions in the first post would help you to get answers faster bro

im using stealth hydro nutes (pre packeged) i relize that i should have disconected the feeder tubes but the only thing that has changed is that that the feeder tubes came disconnected from the pump and made the roots tunrn brown and the water cloudy and frothy in one day. i adjusted the ph this morning when i changed the water and added fresh nutes. the ph was at 5.9 and now is almost 8.0 now i cant even se the bottem of the resiviour.

You have algae - use H2O2 (3% would be fine, although higher % is better), and you'll be fine.

Relax, throw some in there - your pH will stabilize as well.

I agree with bob smith on this one, I would look into some h2o2
The higher the percentage the better but I doubt you will find anything over 3% locally

Do you have good flow to air stones in your res? The water picks up some air as it was pumped to the plants. If it is just sitting still your roots will rot.

Change your water for fresh, and add some H2O2. Make sure there are TONS of bubbles in your water, keep the temp of the res under 70.

You can add Hygrozyme to your water, it eats dead root tissue. Also, SM-70 has been shown to help with root issues.

Lol why did you link him to your thread if you are growing ebb and flow? That doesn't really relate to the topic at hand... Hygrozyme does the same thing as h2o2, having both in the same rez would not make much sense

No, H202 sterilizes the system, by oxidation. Hydgrozyme breaks down dead plant matter, using enzymes.

How is that they same? Alot of people run both. The H2O2 to kill any thing living in the water. And Hygrozyme to breakdown any dead roots or algae.

I linked him to my journel, because I had some issues with roots and used both items for a period of time, and now that I have things more under control I am only using Hygrozyme and SM-90.

I fail to see the need to try and be combative. Am I not worthy of trying to help? There is enough bashing on these threads these days. I am only trying to help.

I wasn't being combative bro, just if you post a link to your journal without saying "yeah dude, I had some root problems as well. Check out post # blah blah blah for some pointers"
It just looked like you were trying to get other to go to your journal instead of staying here to help him
Just to let you know, h2o2 will dissolve dead roots and keep algae from growing.... thus doing the same exact thing as hygrozyme.... PLUS adding oxygen to the water
I would go with the h2o2 and not even bother with the hygrozyme
Here is a link that should clear some things up for you: http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/277635-using-h2o2-hydrogen-peroxide.html

If you are organic at all you would never add H2O2. And not to be combative, but if you have enough D.O. in your water then Hydrogen Peroxide is kinda over kill.

But, once again, I am not here to troll or arhue, just trying to help. And since it is obvious that it's not needed here I will move on.

Best of luck to the op and to you.
Grow on.

Hygrozyme is what you use in an organic system to replace hydrogen peroxide. There is no such thing as too much D.O. in the water
If using chemical nutes use h2o2, organics you use hygrozyme
They both do the same thing basically except h2o2 adds oxygen to your system as well
Using both h2o2 and hygrozyme in the same tank is most def overkill
Not trying to fight with you dude, I have been calm in all of my posts so I am not sure why are sensing I am being argumentative
Just discussing additives to your rez that's all. Have a good one streetrider
:peace:
