PLEASE HELP leaves turning brown and dying

This is my second grow but my first time vegging, last time I got more mature plants and put them straight into flower. You can see my grow journal here.

I got these clones a few days ago and they where healthy when I got them. I put them in FFOF and stuck them under my 1000w HPS. I gave them plain water when I put them in the FFOF and I watered them one more time with plain water and everything was good. On Monday I gave them a half the recommended amount of liquid karma and 1/3 the recommended amount of botanicare pure blend pro grow. I had to go out of town and when I got back Tuesday my MH bulb had arrived and I switched them to 1000w MH. I was so tired on Tuesday I didn't even really look at the plants, I was only in the room long enough to change the bulb. Now today (Thursday) the bottom leaves on about half the plants are turning a brownish rust color in the center, curling and dying. I couldn't check the PH (I think my piece of crap meter broke). I'm gonna try to get a PH meter tomorrow.

What should I do? Should I flush them or just stop the nutes? Or could it be a Cal deficiency (don't know why that would happen)? Should I get some Cal-mag plus or something? Should I wait until I get the PH meter or should I flush them tonight?

I would really appreciate any help.

Back off the nutes and flush. If you have a 2 gallon pot use 4 gallons of water ,use this formula them let them dry completly and start over.

your using too much nutrients, just lighten up your nutes, i dont think u need a flush, id just feed them water for a little bit then lighten your nutrients more when you feed your plants, and only feed them 2 times a week if that

Thanks guys. I think I'll probably flush them tomorrow. I will stop the nutes for sure. I was afraid it might have been to much since I just put them in fresh soil. I didn't think anything this bad would happen though.

i think you have a few things going on here, first they are cupping becouse of too much light. back it off a bit. 2nd if you check ph soil and o.k still flush 3times the pot size, to get some nutes out.
