First off I would like to say hello to all and thank you for any help you can give.

I need some General advice on my whole set up. my plans of what I'm doing.

I'm not sure what disighn (Open to idears) but I'm going to buil it out of plywood with vents at the top running up to the sealingand through a carbon filter.

Now thats the jist of things this is what i plan on using:

Wops almost forgot what I'm growing, 5 Northern Lights (Fem and Autoflower ) from Nivana and 1 White Rino and 1 White Widow both (Fem) ALREDY GERMING!

FOR VEG:
Light: Sunmaster 400w HID 7200K from

Now I have a reflector from my first grow which I'm guessing is self ballasting. Is this adiquit for a 400w HID AND HPS? (I really don't want to burn my house down!)

Flowering
LightL: Osram son-t-plus 400w 5500Lumens

I have some things I'm not clear about:

How tall and wide does the box need to be for 7 plants?

Am I going to burn my house down if I plug those lights into my reflector?

Any advice on regulating the temp

Anything else you think I should know I'm all ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S I still need space for some clothes lol and let me know if you need any info to help me.

1. The space only needs to be about 2 or 3 feet taller than what you want your plants to be when they're done flowering.
2. No, you won't burn your house down by plugging it up that way if you have it plugged in right.
3. You can regulate the temperture by getting about 2 intake fans and at least one exhaust fan. Also have a fan inside blowing on the plants to keep the stems strong and for extra coolness.

That is JUST a reflector and fitting ( and in my opinion a very expencive one ) and will NOT run a 400 OR A 600 Without a ballest unit connected to it ... It looks like a good one ... but i can asure you that a cheaper one will do JUST the same job

http://www.hydrohobby.co.uk/product/euro_reflector/.... you can flower with this with a large CLF Bulb ( your wattage prefrence )
http://www.hydrohobby.co.uk/product/envirogrow_cfl_s/

Then connect a BALLEST unit to the REFLECTOR ... and add your Osram bulb to flower your plants .

Hope that helps :)

and throw all your clothes on the floor like we do haah :)... Dude trust me ...you do NOT want to put clothes in a room with 7 flowering plants ... the police will be just following you home with your clothes stinking of weed :P

Well Already have the reflector from last cfl grow was only 125 will just connect the cfl as extra light for underneath. So the ballast plugs into the reflector? (I know stupid but i will only ask once). Cheers for the advice oh yeah and i plan to use the 125w cfl for seedlings and the HID for veg and the HPS for the flowering and keeping it in a air tight grow box with two intakes at the bottom and the carbon filter and inline fan for outake into my roof.

lol :)

So yeah ... if the reflector states it can handle HID's & HPS ( Most can ) your all good ... you plug the ballest into the refelctor power cord to use the higher wattage bulbs ... And as you allready know ...No ballest needed for the CLF's

Good Luck and have fun :)

It says its silent ...and that can be a good point ... But from what im told ... sealed poly units like that can get VERY hot ( If you have it in your grow space it will push temps up a LOT ) Your going for 400w right ?.... I can recomend a vented ballest ...might hummmmm a bit more when first fireing up ... but the vents will help keeping it cool .
