please help my little plants leafs are curling up

hello i need help the light is a 1000w mh soil is miricle grow i know nobody likes it but i've used it with good luck. no nutes added they are 10 days old and the leaves are starting to curl up. this is only my second grow indoors.

What are the temps in your grow room like? 1000 mh produces alot of heat. Your plants may also be to close to the light

temps are 80 hum 55% light is about 18 inches above plants

Maybe try raising the light 6 -12in. when was the last time you waterd?

i got the same thing goin on and i been reading a lot and the deal is ur ph level needs to come way down and that the soil ur using is over feeding the plants i us miral grow too and the lite being to close has shit to do with it but if u fan leaves are trying out and dyiing thats to means ur lites to close use plane tap water with no plant food mix every 2 days and get ur ph level to about 5.5 that will help ur leaves

make it about 3' for those young plants.

I would transplant out of miracle grow. Probably too hot for 10 day old plants that need hardly any nutrients at all.

could not enough water cause this. my ph in soil is 6.5 and the water is 7.5 i really need to figure this out so i don't loose them.

What you are experiencing is Localised Humidity stress caused by possibly 1 of 2 things.

The room humidity may well be 55% but what is it at the same level of the plants??? Place it near your plant and take a reading! I bet you a pound to a pinch of shit that its below 30% or your Temps are sky high at the surface of the leaf.

Solution
Raise your lights to at least 3ft above your plant as your plant is too small to take intense light with added high heat.

Or it could be that you are blowing an oscilating fan directly at your plant causing a reduction in the humidity on the leaf surface.

Solution
reposition oscilating fan so that it is not blowing directly at your plant.


Pick the one that matches your readings from TESTING!

As your plant matures it grows alot more foliage and as such transpiration rates of the plant increase and this increase in transpiration adds Humidity into the air.

here are some recent pics i flushed the soil out a few days back they don't seem to be much change no worst or no better so far in the pics they are 19 days old.
