What is going to make them grow? It's not like they are in soil where they can root for food. Rockwool is inert, no nutes in it. You need to supply them. It's called hydroponics.

Suppying nutrients to a seed is not a great starting point for any seed, regardless if its hydroponics or not.... i replanted another seed using the same method as the previous seedling. This seed has over taken the other within 6days over the 4 weeks previous has been in... i but this experance down to a weak seed, thank you all who provided there experance to assisted and for those who did nt, keep on trying

You said you have 4 week old seedlings, in rockwool. Yes, you need to supply nutrients to them. I don't believe it's any different in the southern hemisphere.

i have heard from many people that nutes is bad when they are small and young. that is for clones and seedlings alike. plants have to get to al 12 inches b4 you begin to do any kind of flowering and that nutes come after that. i grow hydro btw.
