Please Help! Worst Nightmare: my lights were on during the dark period

So i awoke to my worst nightmare this morning...my lights in my flowering rooom were on during the dark period. Here are the details: my plant(s) that are affected by this are 22 days into flower. the lights were on for 5 hours extra after they shoulda shut off this morn. in other words, on the day 21 she got 17 hours of light. my current plan is to give her 12 hours darkness(starting as soon i found the lights on) then resume the normal light schedule. in other words, on day 22 she'll get 7 hours of light only. and the resume the normal light schedule of 12/12 on day 23...so my questions are:

is she totally f*cked?! is the yield going to be majorly retarded by this??? cuz i would rather just scrap her now, save a little electricity and move on, and just replace this lady(s) in a week or two ya know

and/or how is she gonna be affected by this??

and if you know of a better solution i would definitely like to hear it

thx so much for any help

Just cut your lights off for 24 hrs then resume normal schedule. I am willing to bet everything will be fine. I have had many light issues n the past and the only problem I found was that I stressed, not them lol.

does anyone/everyone else? agree w/ this 24 hour dark idea?
thx so much for the quick replies
and i'll continue to cross my fingers that its only me stressing right now and not the lady

ps: the light issue was my retarded self not setting a new timer properly and then failing to check in the middle of the night if all was well

I've had the same problem. My damn cheap ass timer stuck on and I probably gave my flowering plants 8-10 hours extra light. I just waited 12 hours and turned on my lights again. DON"T revert back to veg! It'll be okay. Even do what the other gents said if you prefer. Do the 24 hr dark and go right back to 12/12 or go long enough (12 hour min) to get back on your schedule. They'll be fine.

you should leave the lights on for 2 whole days. I had this problem with my second grow but I found that if i leave the lights on for two whole days the plant reverts back to veg then once i resumed normal lighting schedule they ended up yielding up to 60 grams more!!!
dont listen to this trolling twat , he hasnt even seen 6 grams let alone 60.

totaly depends on strain could very well be 10-12 weeks , i just presumed you would be growing a commercial strain indoors so i should not of really gave you a time in weeks. What strain is it you are growing and what country ?!
