as small as your plants are you might want to rais your light back up to about 18 inches hps lights give off a ton of heat for cheap if your ballast is switchable than I would pick up a mh bulb but if is not than pick yourself up a flourecent light kit because hps systems are made to flower your bud and not really used for vegging.just to give an idea here is a pick of some roots and the other is a pic of my 4-5 wk plants..

those were of clones yes? How much time does clones have up on seeds; compared at 4 weeks? I haven't seen my baby grow much at all. Infact, I think it has stopped growing. Its leaves aren't getting bigger/longer.
Btw, wild looking plants, and those roots. I miss seeing those long, beautiful healthy roots

I think that in general the basic problems were heat and nutes. It sounds like you got the heat down, and that is good. And like a couple people have said, miracle grow is not that great for hydro. You need to get yourself some hydroponic specific nutes. I recommend General Hydroponics brand. Google this: Lucas Formula

Read about that formula and how to use the General Hydroponics nutes. It's a very good nutrient solution for beginning growers. It's SIMPLE and it works. I use it and if you check out my grow albums you'll see that my plants are VERY healthy and produce excellent results (buds).

Good luck to you. I hope all works out!

I got a big fishstone (1ft in length) at the bottom. I actually don't need to have my pots in the water. The airbubbles from the fishstone are enough to keep it all wet. I'll get some pics on here once the camera gets home. What are you thinking? Alge? I got alittle of that in the tank, but its not bad, just alittle on the sides (by alittle I mean it isn't noticeable unless you really look hard.)

Yeah, I got a big 1ft fishstone on the bottom, and it kicks well enough that the bottom of the lid is soaked.
I got the clay pellets, and my buckets look like yours pretty much. I am just worried that flushing my plant, will wash away the peat moss and the roots will have nothing to hold on to? Maybe I am wrong. Just bought me a nice 2.5gal of distilled water. Getting the temp normalized and I'm going to fix the pH to 6.0 ish
Do I need to worry about anything while flushing it with this?

perfect on the ph and it sounds you use good water remember to change out weekly dont allow old water to stay in there longer than 2 wks this will cause your ph to be jumping badly.if roots are not coming through the basket top feed and flush it that way. should not lose that much doing that way

I'm going to add more pics soon. I want to get a good one of my nute burn, so we can see the nute burn heal up. Did the flushing this morning when I turned the lights back on.

remember keep the nutes real light if you got your ppm meter go for say around 300 ppm but stick with plain water the first 24 hr then check with meter then add little nute and check your ph each time you do this

got a ppm meter on order. I desperately need water. I feel like an evil person. My poor baby is nute burned... even worse now. The leaves; They are curling. I am guessing it is close to death
