damn 132 pages one down 131 to go !!! Perhaps it's just me being thick but surely holes at the bottome work just as well as a hole in the side except it has a mini res at the bottom so the roots can take up as much moisture as needed but I thought you might be saying I was overwatering - mud pie ;)

Did you read it... hempoy buckets do not use soil, they use Vermiculite and Perlyte. ... read my friend, read....

I don't know that coco stuff very well either, but you could just use rockwool. Put it in a tray and flood the tray 3 times/day. It's a good way to get started in growing as it's just way easy and rockwool provides plenty of air as well as retaining moisture well so you don't have so many problems.

Right now those plants have about a 0% chance in that setup. You're growing in MUD!

Good luck, the hempy buckets are good too, and so is a DWC if you want to go that route. They are all easier and more effecient than soil, but soil can be done a lot better than this (no drippers for soil, bad news bears).

Now you've got the idea...check out the FAQ it has a wealth of information and I would spend more than a couple of days...

Spend a couple of weeks, really "bone up" on growing and get an idea for how the entire process works. It's better to understand the process rather than to simply follow the directions of people on here.

ahh dont be sorry its begginer quwestion thing about hydro is you need to know how to do it so if you decide to transition like every one said youl want to read up on it ive never done a dripper system but there is something going on there sorry you blew and assload of money on that system but it seems somethings not right and i dont use it so i cant comment but i will say doing soil is work but is pays ooff and it teaches you alot about plants nutesw lights how to properly care for themget to soil grows under your pbelt and youllbe ready for hydro which are much less work but attention to detail is the key there so heres my suggestion either go read up more on drip systems with cocoa and disciver where your going wrong or go to your nearst place where they sell some soil and some decent nutes( when you get the sooil be sure its not time realsed nutes!!!) also with the fert youd want to get somethng like 10-6-6 high first number its Nitrogenm which alows theplant to grow and aids in all the othere processies which allow a plant to devlope and when you nute wait until there about 4 inches tall and use 1/4 strenght so genaerally that will be 1/4 tsp per gallon of water and work your way up every other watering utnil you reach recommend dose and you can tinker when the plant gets bigger but not whileits small that show you burn them etc... hope it helps

Your medium has gone bad.
Its clearly growing moss on top of it,the green stuff.
This is from being to wet,to humid and to hot.
If it was mine i would wash the old medium away from the roots gently and repot them in fresh medium and be sure to use a dehumidifier in your room,a desktop fan and do stick to a rigid watering schedule.
Moss growing on medium is a much bigger and common problem in the UK than in the USA because we have a different climate:joint:
