You need to tell us SOIL OR HYDRO?
HID LIGHTS, OR CFLS?

For Vegging, growers debate 18/6 and 24/7, meaning lights on 18 hours, off for 6, or lights on for 24 full hours a day.

For flowering, we all do 12/12, in cycles, with a timer.

Mollasses is for your toast, waffles, pan cakes and cereal if you're doing HYDRO.

I can't answer SOIL questions.

Roseman pretty much covered it there, except i havent tried mollasses on toast, pankakes OR cereal. Lol.... i've actually never used it for anything BUT growing(in soil). Mollasses, if used should be unsulphered- the best, and it is used for a few reasons. 1. SUPPOSEDLY it fattens up buds- does it really?- I really don't think anyone ACTUALLY knows that one, but it definately doesnt hurt em. 2. Supposed to give the buds a more sweeter flavor- again, who knows if it really does, but I just tried it on my last grow and the buds did taste sweet... and skunky too. 3. As an extra source of pottassium during flushing- this is probably the most common use of mollasses as flushing strips the soil of nearly everything nute and salt-wise leaving the plant to fend for itself for the last couple weeks of flowering.
As for how to use it- 1tbsp. per 1gal. of h20, shake it up and let the mollasses dissolve then water like normal. Not reccommended for foiliar feeding.
This being ur first grow, I strongly suggest finding out everything u can beforehand about growing in general. Temps, humidity, nutes, lighting, ventillation... all of these things are so sooo important, so be sure u know about em beforehand, it'll save a lot of stress on the plant and u as well. The faq is full of good stuff that'll get u goin. Good luck.
