In Fox Farm Ocean forest 75% ff/ 25% perlite
Watered with 6.5-6.8 ph distilled water (exact not known since Im using pool ph color strips) I have 8 small plants going under 4 daylight cfl's about 4 inches above with a fan blowing on them. Temps stay 72-80 Humid: 45% -60% They are 8 days old and starting day 7 and they have started to show yellow tips. I believe it is a nitrogen def. The yellowing has even taken over some of the bean leafs. =[ In the pictures you can see the yellow tips and yellowness of bean leaves. The reason I worry about these yellowing tips is because my first grow, 15 plants all did the same thing and died after 3 weeks of slow growth. I was using water with high ph and miracle grow soil though.... this second grow Ive done evrything Ive read to avoid nute problems and I think I have them again. Please give any advice or tips on whatever it may be. Thanks =D

I dont see a problem... alittle yellow isnt terrible. were these clones or seeds? They may just not have enough roots to adequately supply the plant.

CFL's are hot from what I know, make sure they dont get burned.

maybe someone else can help more

rocknratm: From bagseed and the roots are developing nicely. The reason I worry about the yellow is this happened before exactly same time my first grow. The leaves slowly turned yellow from bottom outter tip and working its way towards the stem. My buddy did for the last 2 days give them 6 ph water so that might have just blocked out some nutes. Not sure though =/ Thx for the post though
