please tell me if close to harvest

Hi everyone

can someone please tell me if this is close to harvest. The strain is called mango and its been on 12/12 for 7 weeks. any suggestings and info the strain would be very helpful.

hey kronic.. just get yourself a 30x jewelers loupe and look at the trichomes with it. you want them to all be atleast cloudy or even half cloudy and half amber colored.. when they are mostly cloudy you will get a more up high, and the more amber that they are you will get a more couc lock type of high.. depending on what type of high that you are after will determine when you want to harvest..
radio shack also sell this lil 100x magnifying glass that you can pick up for like $15 or so, and works great for this as well.. they only problem with this method is that you are only able to see a very small area of the bud at a time as opposed to using the loupe.. you could also use a digital camera for good looks at the trichomes as well if yours has a macro setting. someone i know on here uses hers and gets great snapshots of her trics.
hope this info helps.. i usually just use the breeders recomended flowering period for flushing reasons, and than i just look at the trics for final decision on when to chop them down

1st pic is FAR from being close to done , 3rd pic is hard to tell , 2nd and 4th pic look close . never had experience with that strain though . peace

elaborate please sir..yes get a mic...but not everyone uses a mic ..remember that....also dont you see in the 1st pic ..the bud structure is just forming ? maybe it is just me ....

just wondering... got a mite problem and am wondering if I should chop 2 diff strains now - og kush / prpl tw. I am 53 days in and trichs are kinda hard to tell w/ RS mic. I don't know if they are going amber or if it is just shadow. Do the trichs go - clear - cloudy - nearly clear amber? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

looked at pics again after post. My plants look like the random amber and spent dead trich is less than 10% and the remaining amount being about a 60/40 cloudy/clear. Then again it is freakin hard to tell compared to the pics online and I have been flowering for 53 days. That is the best estimate I can come up w/ and I still really don't know.

Sucks about the mites. If it were me I'd try to wait it out just a little longer then chop. Try to go to at least day 60 if ya can make it.

4 weeks on the first-probably more. can't really tell.

chopped at 53 days. I looked a couple of times since the radioshack scope is kind of limited. Had to do it. The population friggin exploded. Sucks to be me.

got to 53/ the mites were bad. This is the best of what I got
