Hi, Im starting my first grow in a 3 bedroom apartment.

I don't know what flowing plants smell like because i never grew before but im going to grow about 60-80 plants.
Im going to get a carbon filter. What else is there a eliminate oder?
Also with these things to what extent does it eliminate the oder, like is it completly masked?

Thanks for the help

ionic breeze. it negativly activates the air and helps with smell. make sure you get a large carbon filter and the fan to run it.

I wouldn't advise starting off with 60-80 plants as a first timer. I'd start with anywhere from 3-10, in case you run into trouble later on. Test the waters, so to speak. If you can handle 10 plants, then start a few more a few weeks later. That way if you get a close call, you can flush/get rid of 'em and don't have to deal with disposing 60-80 plants.

1st- Is hard enough growing 4 plants.
2nd- 60-80= BIG TIME FELONY!!!!!
listen to both these guys. start off small, then move to big.
then you dont want to get nailed for distrabution/cultivation.
i was reading on the cali med weed thing and i saw the "state standards-6mature,12inmature. i also saw different counties that have higher limits. dont get your hopes up though...if you get caught and the state pics it up your hit, even worse if the feds pic it up its over. fed time sucks!

I am from cali and i am a medical patient. It does differ in counties, i am able to grow 50 mature plants and hold 6 pounds dry. But most of the doctors only prescribe you the 6 mature and 12 inmature. Good thing i have a very good doctor =). The feds dont worry about things under 99 plants and under 10 pounds, everything more then that is when they get involved.

Go with a rubbermade design, low on light costs, great to start out(basic)and learn about lumans and plant control.Think small then get big, you'd be glad you did!

remember, the bacon (police) doesn't care how big your plants are, they only care how many. It's much better to grow 3-4 and veg them out HUGE (and learn while you're doing it) than to grow 20 or 60 or 80 medium/small plants.

Growing in an apartment is stupid to begin with. You have landlords coming in and out to change filters and what not. Add to that the proximity of other tenants. Doing a 60-80 plant grow in an apartment is not a smart idea. You mine as well walk to the police station and tell them you are gonna grow, it will save you a lot of money you would waste on equipment and plants. 60-80 plants is obviously for distribution purposes, and will be prosecuted as such.

Thanks evyerone for telling me not to grow instead of helping me with my question.
Well to be more specific im fallowing AL B SOG style grow.
All of my plants will be no bigger then about a foot to a foot n a half.
Im using 4 seperate flood tables one for each 2 weeks so i harvest every 2 weeks
and able to control the diff nutes needed for diff weeks.

I have a extra room in the apt its not like its going to be out in the open, the door will remain locked, the building is a new building so im sure we wont have alot of leak or problems. And even so that room will remain locked.

So anyone that can help me with my question instead of telling me NOT to grow.
Thanks

Mrgrow,

First off, I don't think anyone is telling you not to grow. You just have experianced people letting you know, from experiance, that 12 plants are hard to keep up with, let alone 80.

As for your question. A carbon scrubber removes particulates from the air (odor is a particulate), but smell can still penetrate. What many people also do is go to their local hydro store and buy a air freshner. It is like the glade kind that sprays every 15 minutes BUT IT DOESNT SPAY. It has a stone in it that is covered in oil and it blows a fan by it. HAng it by the door to the grow room, and the door to your house. That way your crop doesn't get contaminated. Ionic filters are bad on a couple levels. It may help remove the smell, but it also can do harm.

If you plan to grow 60-80 plants in a concealed building, it will still smell. Even with the best technology you can stealthfully install. My one single little plant on day 28 of flowering stinks up my entire two bedroom apt! And while your county may have a 99 plant rule, federal law states that marijuana is illegal, therefore the feds have the right (and it would stand up in court) to shut your operation down. Also does the 99 plants pertain to Joe Citizen patient? Or is it to a speacially liscensed distribution grower?

I am not asking these questions by no means to attack you. It is everyone's responsibility to be fully aware of the laws and how they apply. The courts don't care about "I really didn't know sir," because its your job a a citizen to know the law. I am asking these questions in hopes that you will do the research to know fully what you are putting on the line for a drug. :peace:

Start with a couple different plants in the beginning the when you get good mothers clone them and you will have great genetics for you big grow. Plus you will not have to worry about slow germ seeds, or have a seed with bad genetics and some time you dont find out until too late d you might lose a more from the same seed batch.
