Pollen from female seeds that went male???

I recently started some Nirvana Blue Mystic femmed beans, and the ones that actually germed turned out to be male after 6 weeks of painstaking LST.:wall:

Anyway, my question is this: If I keep the pollen for micro pollinating future females, will the fuck up by the seed breeders pass on hermy traits to future generations? Or, are they in effect just standard males with no hermie traits?

Also, I've got some pollen from a Mr Nice Early Queen which should be good for breeding anyway, so does anyone think it's even worth using the BM-I don't know what BM is like to smoke as I didn't get a fem, I'd rather just bin them if it's just going to be making seeds with sub standard genetics/hermie traits. I've heard that BM is a Blueberry/Skunk cross, sounds OK on paper but...

So, bin or keep, what do you think?

I am a little confused. "Or, are they in effect just standard males with no hermie traits? "

so, were they female at the beggining then turned hermie, or are they males?

If it grew up as a straight male then fuck the whole "fem seed" thing- that clearly failed and all you have is a regular male plant like you would get from reg seeds. So no it won't produce "feminized" offspring.

If it had female flower and then developed male reproductive flower then it's a herm and technically in the same state as it's mother plant was in when it produced the seed- so if it pollinates itself those further seed are supposed to be high percentage female.

yea i got my seeds this year from some chronic indoor that went hermie for some reason (i think light schedual mess ups) . only found a dozen seeds but they all came out female and i had no hermies. i kindof wish i did so i could keep on keepin on with the strain.

Budnug you didn't answer the question properly. Yes a herm that pollinates itself will have high likelyhood of fem seeds but it's not the same if you just got a male plant rather than a herm plant.

in the first 20 seconds of this video you can see 2 blue mystic clones lined straight, a sativa dominant in the back and a more indica dominant up front. very little skunk smell of any at this point in flower. got these from a few plants i grew over the summer, these were the best pheno's from the 10 pack of regular seeds>

Blue mystic smells really nice, one of my favorite scents on a cannabis plant, Like Blueberries, Muffins, Violets and Skunk. Alot of variation in this strain but some pheno's are just badass while others are crap that snap under their own shame. Try it out, it would be nice to see what blue mystic pheno/genotype your male was and what progeny you get.

Thanks for the responses everyone, sorry I havent replied sooner. To clear up the confusion, no, they werent females that hermied, they were feminized seeds that grew up to be straight males. My question was basically if the pollen from a "femmed" seed which actually turned out male would have any negative traits such as hermaphroditism due to the bad breeding, so thanks Pandan for answering that for me. The pheno of the male I've kept pollen from was clearly indica dominant, with enormous dark green/almost blue fan leaves.

TBH, the internode length was a bit too stretched for my liking, and there was no real scent when the stems were rubbed so I'm still undecided whether to use it or not. The early queen male I have pollen from had excellent internode structure and a beautiful smell even when lightly brushed past, so i'm thinking it will be a much better donor male...I'll probably pollinate a little bud with the BM anyway and use the seed for a guerrilla grow to test it, can't really afford to be wasting time, space and money growing bunk bud indoors, but hey, you never know, could turn out ok in the end. I've got a Mekong High freebie from Dutch Passion, I'll probably cross it to that to make a sat/ind cross.
