From dif ppls testimonys..I dont feel confy ordering seeds online. Now i want to pollinate just one branch, thus ruling out hermie and growroom pollination. My question is...How long on average, does it take for a male pollen sack to burst? Is anyone knowledgable with breeding their own seeds?

You can force hermie one of the plants you like and segregate it from the rest of your plants. The allow it to self pollenate and you will have all female seeds some garden centers sell the spray to make you plant hemie it is a hormone spray containing Gibberellic Acid.

Thats just it, I dont wanna hermie the plant. I have this pretty skunk male i wanna pollinate a branch of one of my females with to get a bud or two full of seeds...that r not from a hermie. U get what i mean?

I hear you well segregate the male and put a bag over one of the branches with pollen sacs they will burst in the bag. Then you can take the bag and put it over one of your female buds to selectively pollenate her that way the buds that you choose produce seed and the others will still make nice sensi. Just make sure not to spill thepollen all over your grow room and make sure to separate the male pollen can sometimes hang around in a grow room and ruin your next grow.

what exactly am i looking for right before pollen sack burst? will it change color? And usually how long from pre-flower to burst? I just need something to go on, that way i dont f up my whole grow room.

well it is best to separate early as the sacs burst at different times so it depends on the plant. They just pop and some fall off.

i have a male right now and i am going to do the same thing

now i was under the understanding that the plant needed to be polinated befor it went in to the bud room?

i have the male and female separated in 18/6 i am going to let some sacks burst then remove. this is where the experiment comes in because if i place this plant right in bud room will other plants that are already their get plonated from the pollen on the female?

i am going to find out real soon.

yeah your suppose to keep her out for a few days and spray leaves down on last day to rinse off any residual pollen. Im gonna have to figure out a way to keep her on 12/12. another grow room prob.

Plants have to have buds to be pollenated the seed forms inside the buds where the little hairs come out. I is better to separate the male as the pollen can contaminate your grow room and ruin your next grow. Some of the sacs will burst but there is a period where tons burst all at once and you end up with pollen all over the place. It is very difficult to make sure all the pollen is out of your room for the next grow so it is best to be safe rather than lose out on bud that you worked so hard for.

The pollen sacks usually bust 10-15 days once they mature. They bust open and spread pollen all over the place. You have to have pistils exposed for them to be pollinated. Do like the other guys said, put a bag over the section that has pollen sacks so that just that section is pollinated.
